50 Sets Of Lyrics (2)
Omar Fehimovic

Sometimes my act was so low
I’d ask myself if it was me
Or if it was an alien in disguise
Always ready to demonise

The little devil in my head
He said I was not bad
But the little angel to the left
He said, of life, you are bereft

Circus clowns would've been jealous
My behaviour, a real menace
Less to society, more to myself
Time to store it on a shelf

It's obvious, change is a must
I don't think of it in disgust
Just happy that very soon
I'll finally land on the moon
Accomplish my mission
Turn off this crazy ignition

27) ONLY LOSERS FALL IN LOVE

I don't want to be alone
I want my female clone
Someone who would understand
Not be all about demand

Is it possible? Is it real?
Or science fiction invading my head?
Whatever the deal is
I don't want to feel dead

They say losers fall in love
The cool ones win relaxed
Reality seems so strange
Is it my destiny to be axed?

Winning, losing, a lot of blame
But it's much more than a game
Because of such words
They should feel shame

The online ad gives me no hope
In my hour of need
An act of desperation
The search is on for liberation

They say losers fall in love
The cool ones win relaxed
Reality seems so strange
Is it my destiny to be axed?

Speed dating, are people crazy?
Has technology made them lazy?
Where is the old fashion?
Class and style?
This is pure miscommunication
In the age of globalisation

28) JUST A DREAM

Fingers caressing my hair
The scent made me crazy
Silky skin feeling so unreal
Like a woman from another planet

Then I woke up
And felt it really happened
What if it really did?
Did supernatural pay me a visit?

The dream so vivid
Or should I say lucid?
Was it an out-of-body experience
Something I never believed in

If aliens don't exist
Why does the dream persist?
If supernatural is not real
What is this that I feel?

Nobody would believe me
Except for a few
I will keep quiet
Enjoy this dream, for now

It's happening more often
We make love in the dream
When I wake up
I see a little beam

If aliens don't exist
Why does the dream persist?
If supernatural is not real
What is that I feel?

A beam of light
Towards the sky
Please come back tonight
To be forever, you and I

29) YOU CHOSE INFIDELITY

There's nothing you can do
I don't want to see you
No need to apologise
You’ve destroyed everything

Everything we ever built
Everything we planned to do
It's too late now
I'll find a way out somehow

I don't want to know
Why you did it
What good would it do?
Who to blame who?
We almost built a castle
But now the foundation is gone
I don't care, suffer alone

Pay for the mistake
For your stupid deeds
You chose infidelity
Instead of sowing seeds

The footsteps in the hall
I hope it's not you
Silence is gold, be bold
Don't say a word
Cat and mouse, not my world

I don't want to know
Why you did it
What good would it do?
Who to blame who?
We almost built a castle
But now the foundation is gone
I don't care, suffer alone

Daylight saving time
My partner in crime
In crime to forget your face
Enjoying the sun
Up my sleeve an ace

30) TO CALL IS ABSURD

My all, says Mariah Carey
My fall, all I can think of
Stupid I was so
To ever let you go

Hoping for your comeback
No, it's a waste of time
A terrible mistake
That I don't want anyone to make

Sweet is the very thought of you
On the beach, in the sun
Now it's my history
I wrote a pathetic story

Your herbal perfume
And the stunning costume
More than foolish was of me
To think you didn't want us to be

To call is absurd
So is knocking on your door
To tell a friend?
The rumour would finally end

Sweet is the very thought of you
On the beach, in the sun
Now it's my history
I wrote a pathetic story

I'm driving through the streets
Prostitutes on the pavement
Am I going to dement?

To quench my instinct thirst
With one of them
It would do no good
Her face and body
Would be yours in my mind
Me, such a fool, so blind

31) I STILL SMELL ROSEMARY

I still smell rosemary
The meal, what a feast
Friends galore
And just one whore

Defamation is not who I am
I apologise for the terrible word
The word that I mentioned
I should be sanctioned

The friends ate and sang
We sat by the sea
I stared at the whore
From her I wanted more

I didn't mind her profession
Just hoping to feel passion
Not as a client but as a fool
To change her life, so cruel

She smiled at me
Usual part of her act
Making money after dinner
With yet another sinner

Probably a married man
With no conscience, no shame
But I was not there to blame
From her I wanted the same

I didn't mind her profession
Just hoping to feel passion
Not as a client but as a fool
To change her life, so cruel

I opened the bedroom door
And she wasn't there
Probably with someone else
Who didn't even care

I never met her again
Something I didn't hope for
Mixed feelings of sorrow
And relief in my heart
But I was still hoping
She'd have a fresh start

32) A REAL PRIZE

They say she is a real prize
How dare they be so shallow
She's not an object of desire
Nor supposedly the hottest fire

Things have changed
Even old people succumb to instinct
All these people are deranged
Lack of grace, extinct

They tell me she isn’t mine
A beautiful woman
Always other man's
Jealousy, malice, envy and fear
To me it's all very clear

If you rise and achieve success
Jealousy follows in excess
If you seduce a gorgeous woman
You hear terrible things
Almost inhuman

That is the nature of many men
Little can be done about that
Like a swarm of scary beings
They try to destroy your feelings

They tell me she isn’t mine
A beautiful woman
Always other man's
Jealousy, malice, envy and fear
To me it's all very clear

Isolation is a partial cure
Yet effective I must say
People will be people
But who cares at the end of the day

All that I want is next to me
Her inner beauty is what matters
For outer beauty is skin deep
You don't see it in your sleep

33) CARAVAN OF FOOLS

Always a book guy
Other things I did try
Still the appeal of words
Sunbathes my vocal cords

Dork, strange, so many words
To express ignorance and hate
At first I suffered, full of scare
Later I knew better not to care

Caravan of fools
Always around me
They don’t know their direction
Primal is their satisfaction
To explain to them where to go
I know, it would be another blow

So I pass the opportunity
For the lack of their clarity
I know that time will tell
Who will ring the divine bell

The bell of wisdom so beautiful
Many don’t even know
So why bother directing such people
If they want to be sheeple?

Caravan of fools
Always around me
They don’t know their direction
Primal is their satisfaction
To explain to them where to go
I know, it would be another blow

It's cruel to call people sheeple
But no mercy is directed at me
I know that gentle I will not be
Because people sheeple shouldn't be

34) THE KING'S FALL

To marry the next of kin
Wasn't it the greatest sin?
But the king ignored the issue
The empire was about to fall
The rebels destroyed the wall

The king's arrogance was wounded
The events took him by surprise
Never in his wildest dreams
Did he see people rise

Terrible noise not far from the castle
Soldiers retreating, hardly breathing
Hundreds of years of power and fame
But all empires fall the same

The king didn't cry
Didn't even try
Stranger to him was empathy
When the heads rolled
He wouldn't even blink
How awful to see the ship sink

He climbed to the top
Saw the rebels in the distance
Noise, fire, what to do?
Oh, poor king, is the next one you?

I want to rob the mob
The king would say
The mob was coming
With life the king would pay

The king didn't cry
Didn't even try
Stranger to him was empathy
When the heads rolled
He wouldn't even blink
How awful to see the ship sink

The leader of the rebels screamed
People, look!
The king is on the rook!
But they had no chance
To catch him alive
The king had to dive

There was no „Titanic“
reference at the time
Neither “Lusitania”
Nor the Gulf of Tonkin
That awaited him
And the kin

35) YOUR FAMOUS WHIM

Without you I've already been
No surprise, your famous whim
I should hope you're not with him
But this time it is different
The composer will be me
The singer whimsical you

If you disagree
Good for me
I will be free

I've spent years
Looking for your wavelength
Losing all my strength
Your behaviour
Is a mystery to me
And that you can’t see

If you don't like what I mean
Maybe some other man, my ex-queen
Will like when you make a scene

Trying is a waste of time
I am never good enough
Sometimes tough, usually rough
But it makes no sense
It is your usual dance (US English)

Now you say the fault is mine
My freedom is about to shine
Do what you do
Say what you want
I won't say don't

I don't care any more
No need for such a bore
Life is short
I keep telling myself
And now you disagree
So I am finally free

Trying is a waste of time
I am never good enough
Sometimes tough, usually rough
But it makes no sense
It is your usual dance (US English)

36) ANARCHY IN THE MONARCHY

There was anarchy in the monarchy
People were angry and hungry
The queen didn’t care
Convinced that people didn’t dare

How could she have been so blind
Thinking things didn’t apply to her?
Obsessed with her clothes and fur

This might be the tipping point
The point of no return
To her it wasn’t a concern

Anarchy in the monarchy
It was about time
Arrogance against impatience
Similar in many nations

Violence in the streets
Many wounded and dead
The queen threw parties instead

Was it madness, lack of reason?
Nobody could tell
The queen was headed
Further from Heaven
Closer to Hell

Anarchy in the monarchy
It was about time
Arrogance against impatience
Similar in many nations

People said „off with their heads“
The queen still didn't care
To have such a leader
Wasn't even so rare

But indifference and arrogance
Did not last for long
And finally the people
Started singing the song

The queen's head high on the wall
An example to future leaders
A scary scene, terrible deed
Nothing lasts forever, indeed

37) MEN ARE PIGS

Men are pigs
Many women say
A popular phrase
In global haze
Communicate?
Less important than fornicate

Yet men are still pigs
And women wear masks
Hiding behind the invisible veil
So scared they will fail

Religious confusion
A far cry from harmonic diffusion
People don't talk any more
Physical contact, just another chore

Then why all the blame?
Why the fear of shame?
If it's just a chore
Who cares any more?

But the masks are still on
Nobody wants to concede
Global insanity
Of blame and shame
A very unnatural game

So how can they claim
That men are pigs
When they still wear wigs?

Religious confusion
A far cry from harmonic diffusion
People don't talk any more
Physical contact, just another chore

It's easier to wear a mask
Even consider chore a task
Not to tell it like it is
Behave like a robot
Or worse, like a web bot

So much rage in this age
Confusion destroying fusion
Let them think who I am
Finally, I don't give a damn

38) THE SWAN SCULPTURE

I saw a big swan sculpture
In front of a barbershop
I couldn't believe my eyes
Or call it a surprise

Surprise was a mild word
For this strange swan
The following day
I wanted to see
If it would be gone

Astonished was a better word
The swan was still there
I entered the shop
To meet the owner
A very sweet man
His name was Stan

Oh, beautiful swan
In such a strange place
No water, no lake
Just concrete and Stan's rake

I asked Stan why the swan
He said his wife was gone
Gone where angels would sing
Where God was the only king

Emptiness in his voice
Mentioning her
Yet the swan stared at us
Saying: Stan, crying no mas

Oh, beautiful swan
In such a strange place
No water, no lake
Just concrete and Stan's rake

The swan didn't mind the surroundings
All he cared about was Stan
What a beautiful swan
And what a noble man

39) HE WENT ABROAD

To avoid hardship
He went abroad
My best friend
With his country, disappointed

I warned him not to rush
Life was hard everywhere
It was just a few
Who enjoyed without you

It was not about the country
Or religion or fate
But all about circumstances
And necessary imposed dances

He called me one day
Crying on the phone
Sadness in his voice
No reason to rejoice

Immigrant's life, so hard
He wasn't ready for hardship
Then one day he told me
He'd try a job on a ship

I knew it’d be even worse
But he wouldn't listen
He yearned for a better future
That wasn't going to happen
But he was ready to dare
The man was stranger to scare

He called me one day
Crying on the phone
Sadness in his voice
No reason to rejoice

A decade later
He came back home
No trace of once a happy man
Which he denied vehemently
But admitted silently

Things at home weren’t much better
But here he had friends and family
He had a chance of living happily
Finally, finally…

40) FIND ME A REASON

Find me a reason
Not to commit treason
I'm not happy with our marriage
And never have been
Everybody has seen

But you thought
It was a social obligation
Mother, a married wife
Guaranteed, a happy life.

The marriage is a bore
I couldn't agree more
I don't care
What society demands
They are the ones
Who need reprimands

Born with religion, defined
And a proud nationality
No free thinking
A slave to society
No space for individuality
Not even for variety

I never wanted such a life
And now I have such a wife
No, darling,
I won't listen to you
Or do what you want me to
You've been brainwashed
How could you know that?
People like you
Society's best bet

It's not even about treason
Just let me fly
This society conformed life
Will make me die

Born with religion, defined
And proud nationality
No free thinking
A slave to society
No space for individuality
Not even for variety

I'm not a pervert or a freak
If you don't understand that
I’m an individual willing to live
Then I have nothing to give

So many zombies around me
If TV says, it must be true
They live thinking they’re free
But they will never be me
Nor anyone else
Who wants to think
The others? Let them sink

41) THE BOY DENIED

There was a boy who
Preferred to deny
But alone in his room
All he did was cry

What was this boy’s problem
Was it university?
A move to another city?

I think it was not
Because once he was caught
In the dark with another boy
To whom he was just a toy

The boy was afraid of being gay
He tried to suppress the urge
His parents would forget him
Other people would beat him
His fault he thought it was
Never thinking of why and because

His life was miserable
Confusing, urge unbearable
But the fear was so immense
And the boy was always tense

When he would be free
He did not know
He thought:
How had I fallen so low?

The boy was afraid of being gay
He tried to suppress the urge
His parents would forget him
Other people would beat him
His fault he thought it was
Never thinking of why and because

Then something changed
He wasn’t so afraid any more
Didn’t know the reason why
Just knew it was time to try

Another boy he sought
Forgot the suicide thought
He wanted to be who he was
He finally knew why and because

42) COLD CASE

Was it him?
Was it her?
A dead child in the dark
It was in the seventies

Forty years later
The killer is on the loose
The police don't even dare
The people created a legend
Some still care

This cold case, so unusual
Both simple and difficult
A child in the park and a killer
Not exactly a real thriller

The child killed in the park
The police, still in the dark
Who knows if
The killer's still alive
Maybe he passes by
The police every day
And lives in the bay

There was a rumour that
The killer was from the police
They said they couldn’t
Solve the case
Said it with a straight face

This cold case, so unusual
Both simple and difficult
A child in the park and a killer
Not exactly a real thriller

Do the police hide the truth?
Who knows?
Maybe they don't care that
The child received many blows

Sad is this story
In which there is no glory
The parents have no peace
No respect for the police

43) WE STOOD BY THE THEATRE

After school we stood by the theatre
Watching the beautiful actresses pass by
Sometimes they blew us kisses
Our happiness was never-ending

They were so gracious, so unique
Sometimes they waved to my clique

Then I fell in love
It felt so right
But in my heart I knew
A boy could only hope
For waves a few

We felt so good
Life seemed grandiose
We were in the mood
I wanted to give her a rose

But this boy had no courage
For he was scared
That she would make fun of him
He never dared

We stood by the theatre
Hoping that one day
We would be
With someone like them
In the meantime
We dreamt of the actresses
Right there, right then.

But this boy had no courage
For he was scare
That she would make fun of him
He never dared

44) THE WRITER’S BLOCK

Inspiration comes and goes
Dealing gifts and blows
One day it flows like a river
It can even last longer
And make a writer stronger

Long hours, so much to write
Words pouring out of one’s mind
Inspiration can be so kind

Not enough paper or ink
For writers in the past
Then they turned to computers
To make writing fast

Then something happens
The vibrations become low
Writing is so, so slow
Precise as a Swiss clock
God, not another writer’s block

Writer’s block, why are you here?
I need precious words, to me dear
There isn’t enough time
I need to break down this wall
No mercy, the deadline is waiting
Anxious for words I’m anticipating

Why does this happen
Nobody can tell
Inspiration is a strange beast
When it’s not a writer’s feast
To call my editor?
Ask for more days?
Who can guarantee
I’ll like what he says?

Praying doesn’t help
I should at the sun stare
Waiting for words, so rare

Frustration is in the room
I admit, it happened before
Words, I need you more

Writer’s block, why are you here?
I need precious words, to me dear
There isn’t enough time
I need to break down this wall
No mercy, the deadline is waiting
Anxious for words…I’m anticipating

Finally, a brick from the wall falls
Instantly, inspiration calls
Beautiful words in my head
The fingers, not fast enough
As if they were scared

I am not afraid of
The deadline any more
I am ready to give more

45) KING OF WHOSE CASTLE?

You said you had a castle
And needed a king
Your words were beautiful
And I was hopeful

Hopeful that the king
Would be me
With the beautiful queen
For everyone to see
It sounded too good to be true
But I chose to believe
And never let you leave

One day I was invited to the castle
The queen opened the door
She said: Come in,
I was waiting for you
Coffee and food on the table
It was all so true

A few weeks later
I became suspicious
Maybe a little malicious
The king’s pride was immense
But what kind of king was I
So afraid that she’d make me cry?

King of whose castle
I asked the queen
Not knowing where she’d been
Maybe with another man
For a few weeks
No call, not even hi
And she didn’t reply

She gave me no answer
Just told me I was possessive
Harsh words, even obsessive
No mention of the castle
Sudden cold, distance
And unexpected arrogance

Whose fault it was
I didn’t know
But the would be king
Was a one time thing

King of whose castle
I asked the queen
Not knowing where she’d been
Maybe with another man
For a few weeks
No call, not even Hi
And she didn’t reply

No more castle, no more king
Was this even a fling?
We were not meant
To be a monarchy
The king and the castle
Another story with no glory

46) NOT IN MY CASE

Another day
The same story
Maybe somewhere else
Not in my case

Twenty years ago
Life was so good
Streets crowded with people
Looking for fun
Staying up until the sun

Invitation to parties
Even from the people I didn’t know
We always went with the flow.
I never refused to go

Celebration was in the air
Good music, even better food
Never thought of it as rare
Always in the good mood

Not in my case
It sounds so exclusive
But I swear I am right
Now people only fight
Yesterday’s future is today
And I hate what they say

My friends are married
Working all day long
They listened to society’s reason
And ended up in its prison

We grew up, I was stubborn
Always asking questions
My friends were different
And became very silent
No more time for fun
They thought they were done

Done with the life of pleasure
Not having time for leisure
Children, wife, money, bills
Bad heart, ulcer, lots of pills

People say I have to change
That nobody can defy society
Which loves to kill variety
It’s hard for me
And much harder for them
But I have fewer worries
And more memories

Memoirs of the beautiful days
That almost everyone forgot
Those who are robots
In the factory called society
With the intention of killing variety

Not in my case
It sounds so exclusive
But I swear I am right
Now people only fight
Yesterday’s future is today
And I hate what they say

Society likes human robots
People like me they call cohorts
I will never give up
Without my friends
I know it will be tough
But their life is
So unnecessarily rough

I have nothing to lose
Still have an option to choose
Life is my choice
I want to rejoice
Others do not dare
Why do I still care?

47) SHE WORKED IN A PHARMACY

I was just a customer
On the bill another number
The girl in the pharmacy
Was beautiful and friendly
The things she would say
Would make my day

Sometimes we chatted
When the lack
of customers permitted
I was much older
Just wanted to talk
Not thinking she’d ever
Want to go for a walk

One night around eight
It was time to close the shop
I was about to leave
She asked me to stop

I’d like some coffee
If you don’t mind
Her words, a surprise
A big spark in my eyes

She worked in a pharmacy
Sometimes we would talk
But then there was a change
She was full of rage
I never thought she’d approve
Of someone my age

We drank coffee
Went for a walk
Yes, I liked her a lot
I realised I had a shot

I was afraid
It wouldn’t last
And acted as a friend
Hoping it would never end

But one night I entered the shop
And she told me to stop
She had to lock the door
Do inside something more

She worked in a pharmacy
Sometimes we would talk
But then there was a change
She was full of rage
I never thought she would approve
Of someone my age

So I left the pharmacy
And I wasn’t surprised
This young woman
Didn’t want a friend
And I didn’t want an end

I was a coward
The girl so straightforward
Now I don’t have her as a friend
All I have is the end

48 EVERENDING STORY

I saw writing on the wall
“I still love you, forgive me”
I wish she had said those words
Flying like beautiful birds

The writing haunted me
Why wasn’t it my reality?
I kept coming every day
Hoping those words she’d say

The very wall was in an alley
And there were many shops
The owners found me strange
Some things never did change

It wasn’t strange to long for
The words of forgiveness
But these people didn’t know that
All they wanted was to chat
The only words in my mind
They were on the wall, signed

Hope was a useful thing
To make me feel wanted
But sanity required reality
No permission for the lack of clarity

With my life I had to go on
Hoping that someone would remove
The writing from the wall
I didn’t want to see it any more
I didn’t need an encore

It wasn’t strange to long for
The words of forgiveness
But these people didn’t know that
All they wanted was to chat
The only words in my mind
They were on the wall, signed

Painful days never seemed to cease
And the writing was still on the wall
Suddenly it seemed like a wake up call
It was time to abandon hope
With a new life I had to cope

And there it was, the same wall
But the writing was gone
And with it the memory of her
The writing was gone
And a new me was born

49 APOCALYPSE OR ECLIPSE

Some people have gone mad
They say it’s the end of the world
Two Thousand and Twelve
Many buy food to shelve

The Poles will shift
Solar flares will kill us all
Building bunkers underground
For them the only thing sound

The media promotes chaos
Nothing new there
And they even swear
Swear that it is all the truth
I don’t buy it, I’m a good sleuth

Apocalypse or eclipse?
Apocalypse of the world?
Eclipse of the human mind?
What a disaster
Some of the human kind
So much panic, so much fear
Do I have to be here?
Can I sleep through 2012?
Even through 2013?
Not to watch this crazy scene

What a pack of lies
But many people don’t have eyes
Fear is no stranger to marketing
Makes you buy the useless thing

Judgment day, many say
They just want to survive
And many are now religious
But used to be sacrilegious
Many were sinners
Now want to be winners

Save me God from chaos
And surrounding pathos
As for my preparation
This is my recommendation

Don’t read the newspapers
Turn off the radio and TV
And be finally free

Apocalypse or eclipse?
Apocalypse of the world?
Eclipse of the human mind?
What a disaster
Some of the human kind
So much panic, so much fear
Do I have to be here?
Can I sleep through 2012?
Even through 2013?
Not to watch this crazy scene

50) YOU CAN NEVER BE SURE

When I was growing up
People didn’t pay attention to me
Another kid, poor and weak
For some malicious ones, a freak

I loved football, trained hard
The coach loved it, made me smile
The malicious ones didn’t care
Life was so unfair

Then we won the local cup
People started paying attention
Around me girls and friends
Who were they?
I didn’t know them
Probably ready for some scam

Today I’m a famous star
Playing football in a big club
They want me in every pub
I never now who’s
There because of me
And who just wants money

Before nobody looked at me
Now they’re all friends, briefly
People want to take advantage
Sudden friendship, fling,
Utterly disgusting acting

Tomorrow if I lose
Money and fame
They will not even
Want to hear my name

Materialism is their ism
Their only goal in life
I’ll be better off alone
I know they’ll never call

Today I’m a famous star
Playing football in a big club
They want me in every pub
I never now who’s
There because of me
And who just wants money

I know I’m right
No need to doubt myself
To endure this kind of circus
I’m not the first or the last
They all make me aghast
