The Prince Of Whales (9) The Ninja guys agreed and renewed their Ninja oath to uphold justice. They all waited in the boat until it became dark. Matthew fed the computer with all kinds of false messages asking for help. Detective Bermann asked the cooks to prepare the dinner and keep the kitchen as an abandoned one long time ago. They prepared the boat to look as if it belonged to the last century. The whaleboat slowly moved towards the southeast coast. All the members reached the shore and walked through the sewage system. After one hour they came to the coconut juice factory basement. They set up every thing suitable for them to stay and do their undercover mission. The Ninja guys went out and brought all the needed articles, provisions and equipments for the purpose. They started the undercover adventure. Matthew upgraded his computer to receive all information from the bad guys and from the government authorities as well. Shea can listen to all the telephone conversations of the members of his board of trustees. Joan can listen to her mother’s conversations with Rodrigo. Detective Bermann and his police friends can listen to the conversations of the government authorities. The Ninja guys can listen to the personal cell phone conversations of their bosses. Soon the basement became like a huge radar station with all kinds of electronic equipments. Matthew tried to contact Cathy. She is with Feggy. Shea and Matthew went to see them. Boris wanted to see Eliza. He went to the bayside guesthouse and told Lillian that there is a complaint about the phone connection. Lillian allowed him into the house. He went to the backyard porch, checked and fixed the phone line connections. He then told Eliza, ‘lady, what are you doing here at this time. You must go inside immediately. Otherwise you will catch cold’. He came into the front veranda and checked Lillian’s phone line. He checked with Bermann and every thing is clear. He left his hanky on the table and returned to the basement. Eliza walked in side and asked Lillian, ‘the guy told me to go in side. Where is he? Do I know him? He sounded familiar for some reason’. Lillian said, ‘you mean the phone guy. He already left’. Eliza saw the hanky on the table and began to remember Boris. Lillian thought her mother is acting strangely. She tried to call Rodrigo. Boris, Shea and Matthew checked the phone lines at Feggy’s room, Lillian’s room and Cathy’s room. Bermann was recording all the conversations of the police authorities to see their links with the mafia leaders. Sam showed Joan how to listen to the conversations of her mother. Every thing is electronically set. The Ninja guys returned with the latest news about cocaine shipment from other Islands. They told Bermann, ‘we have information that a cocaine shipment is arriving tonight’. Bermann asked them the location. But they said, ‘we cannot betray our Ninja brother’s secrets’. Bermann understood their philosophy and asked them, ‘okay. You don’t need to tell the name of the boat. Just tell me the names of the boats parked next to your friend’s cocaine delivery boat’. The Ninja guys tranced themselves and recollected the scene and said, ‘the boats parked next to our friend’s boat are: Victoria on the left and Elizabeth on the right’. Bermann contacted the Chief of Police and gave the information about the cocaine shipment. The Chief asked him about his personal identity to reward him. Bermann told the Chief, ‘aloha dot com’. Basing on the information the coast guard men went to the area and arrested the bad guys red-handed. The police authorities transferred a gift check to aloha.com e-mail account for the useful information he shared with them as a responsible citizen. Detective Bermann gave this first check to the honest Ninja guys. Hawaiian mafia leader enragedly called the senator Bruce to warn the chief of police not to do this again. Senator Bruce called the chief of police and said, ‘keep the cocaine but let the innocent guys go’. The chief of police apologized for the inconvenience and released the bad guys. Detective Bermann overheard and copied their conversations and noted all these compromising developments in his file and asked the chief of police what is going on with the bad guys. The chief of police Melanchthon took it as a personal challenge of his dutiful career and pursued the matter further. He asked his secretary Heather to immediately contact with ‘aloha-dot-com’ and take down the dictation as, ‘Hi, aloha! I am really sorry to let you down. But this won’t happen again. Please bear with us and keep in touch’. The mafia leader asked the Ninja guys to go and bring Maori the chief editor and publisher of the newspaper Aloha. Bermann told the good Ninja guys to go and bring the chief editor and publisher of Aloha newspaper to the basement. The bad Ninja guys went to Maoris apartment. They brought Maori’s gay friend who was waiting for him in his apartment. The good Ninja guys went to the pizza place where Maori was buying some pizzas. They brought Maori the chief editor and publisher to the basement. The bad Ninjas somehow brought the wrong guy to their boss. The news of missing Aloha chief editor and publisher Maori spread all over Hawaiian Islands like wild fire and all the news agencies actively condemned the mafia leaders. Maori understood the whole situation and requested Bermann in tears, ‘today I met a wonderful poet at my office. As we became friends at first sight, I gave him the key and asked him to come to my apartment. Now the bad guys took him away from me. They may do … who knows … I cannot say it with the same mouth with which’. He became hysterical and quickly hugged Matthew and cried aloud. Bermann called the good Ninja guys and asked them to save Maori’s new lover friend from the bad guys. Maori agreed to work for Bermann. The Hawaiian mafia leader heard the same story from Maori’s new boy friend and said, ‘it happened to me once. It’s a mistake. I will send for Maori. Please be my guest and feel at home. But I must know who is giving our information to the police’. Bermann gathered all the little pieces of information from all corners and started to fill the puzzle. He gathered all the folks and described the situation to them in their computer screens. He assigned specific jobs to each person and explained them how they should do their jobs. While he was explaining this to them, Matthew suddenly noticed that the bad guys are coming towards the coconut juice factory along with the police authorities. They noticed that the electronic communications are operated from the factory premises. They rushed with the detectors and asked the desk, ‘where is the computer room? The desk girl pointed towards the room and said, ‘but sir! The computer staff will soon change the shift. You may have to wait until in the office until the next shift workers arrive and start it again’. Bermann quickly closed the demonstration session and shut every thing down. The fake police authorities and the bad guys waited in the main office building as all the electronic equipment has been shut down. They told the manager that there was a problem in the circuit and they came to check all the connections one by one from the thirteenth floor to the first floor. The manager opened the computer room and told them okay to check. They started checking all the floors from the computer room. They did not find any disturbance at all. Matthew took care of that end. The fake police and the bad guys apologized to the manager for the inconvenience and left the factory premises. After they left Bermann said, ‘we need to be very careful with these machines. The bad guys already suspected that some thing is going on here. We cannot afford to lose this basement. We should find a way to divert their attention’. Matthew said, ‘no problem. We can transfer this to Sanfrisco to the Aloha mainland office files’. Matthew asked Maori’s password and hooked the whole thing to aloha-dot-com files in the mainland headquarters office in Sanfrisco. This time the bad guys noticed that the communications are not operated from Hawaiian office but from the mainland Aloha office in Sanfrisco. They immediately explained about the leakage of information and cautioned the Sanfrisco mafia leader to go and check the Aloha main office building. The mafia guys in Sanfrisco went to the Aloha communication center. They opened the aloha-dot-com files. They saw that some one is transferring the information of the whole mafia network to the US federal government news agency files. The bad guys tried to stop the transfer of information. But they could not find the key command. The screen became chaotic and they began to hear strange voices. Lillian and Wilma called Rodrigo and Willy and urged them to come home for the weekend as promised. The bad guys began to hear all these hot conversations without a clue. Joan overheard the conversations and understood that Rodrigo and the naval officer Willy would come to Hawaii by the end of the week with all the dead bodies they found in the underwater cavities. Willy told Lillian that they had found the decomposed bodies of Shea and Sam. Bermann got all the pieces fit into the puzzle. The last piece left in his hand is not fitting. He has to move several other pieces to accommodate the last piece. So far he understood the network links between Rodrigo, Nick, the mafia leaders and the Senator. He concluded that there must be a bigger fish involved in this game. Nick the Big Boss came to know about the cocaine seizer and the latest media mishmash in Sanfrisco mafia network. He became very furious and called the Hawaiian mafia leader and said, ‘we have to concentrate upon great things. Don’t try to get government’s attention for little things. Don’t go for making the damn headlines in the newspapers. That will kill the golden hen. I think I might see you in Hawaii with the big fish. Invite all our mainland friends. We must go for shopping’. Bermann copied the whole decipherable conversation and began to rearrange the pieces of the puzzle. He accessed and checked the government files and e-mails and noticed that the federal government secretary of the department of natural resources Mr. Dukhobors is coming from Washington DC to witness the performance of a public auction in Hawaii. The government is going to sell thirteen unnamed Polynesian Islands to the individuals, organizations or foundations. Detective Bermann gathered all information about this auction. He shared the news to all the folks. Shea asked Boris to attend the auction in disguise and buy all the Islands. The participating bidders have to deposit $ one billion towards the International Monitory Fund to the special federal sales officer in charge Mr. Dukhobors before commencement of auction. The successful highest bidder shall deposit 50% of the bid amount immediately after the bid is knocked down in his or her favor. The remaining amount along with the stamp fee has to be paid within three days from the date of auction without fail. Otherwise the auction sale stands cancelled and the paid amount will be forfeited. Detective Bermann explained the radium plan to draw all the fish into a single net. They all decided to attend the auction as rich Sikhs, Sheikhs and Moors to buy all the deluge-affected Islands. They called all these foreign friends of Boris and explained the situation. They were glad to know that Boris is alive. They agreed to buy the Islands for Boris’ plan. Bermann took care of all the legal aspects. Chapter thirteen It’s my dreamland! Rodrigo and Willy are anxiously waiting for Nick as he had gone to Kiritimati Island to care of urgent business and to bring the latest heavy electronic machinery. The workers had found the safest underwater cavities and kept about five tons of bricks they already made. The whales did not bother the workers at all. They completed the job in the first three days on the eastside of the Island. They are the most loyal Ninja students of Nick. He trained them to handle almost any deadly mission. They moved all the equipment to the Westside and started making the bricks. They are working round the clock like robots. They are waiting for the latest heavy machinery. They can make bricks five times faster with that latest machine. Nick called them several times and appreciated them for their talent. They are answerable to Nick alone. They buried the bricks in such a way that nobody could find those cavities except the Ninjas who might have a special training in paleontologic search technologies. Nick took care of his business in Kiritimati Island and came with the new machine. The air cargo landed on the Island. Nick came down and asked the ninja guys to unload the machine. Rodrigo and Willy met Nick and showed him all the accounts. Nick brought some prostitutes to have some entertainment on the lonely Island. He also brought some ambrosial ninja drinks and A-frame tents for the ninja guys. The ninja guys paid their professional homage to Nick. The ninja guys fixed the tents. They began to enjoy their evening dinner, drink and dance. Nick handed over the papers to Willy and told him, ‘I have delivered your letter and the bodies and the items to your naval officers. They are taking care of the identifying process in Kiritimati Island. Afterwards they will send the remaining body bags and the items to Hawaii for further identification’. Willy took the acknowledgment papers and thanked him. Nick told Rodrigo, ‘there will be a slight change in my scheduled. The federal government suddenly decided to conduct an auction to sell the twelve deluge-affected islands. I have to go to Hawaii tomorrow evening to see some friends and get ready to buy this island. We need some big bucks to compete with the international bidders. We have to raise enough bucks from all available sources. I have to go before you go there. I will see you there at the weekend. Remember, if we lose this Island, we lose every thing’. Rodrigo asked Nick, ‘just tell me how much is my share and I will convince the members of my board of trustees’. But Nick said, ‘this is not their business. This is our business. Don’t bring them in. This is between you and me and those that know about the gold secret of this Island’. Rodrigo said, ‘we will go with you’. But Nick said, ‘tomorrow you find some more dead bodies. And then we all can go together with the bodies’. They laughed together. Rodrigo said, ‘okay. You will go tomorrow and talk to your friends. We will finish this dead bodies-hunting job within two days and join you at the auction center’. They finished the dinnertime discussions and walked to the Westside to see how the night shift ninja guys were doing with the new machine. The night shift ninja guys already filled the underwater cavity with fifth load of bricks and started the sixth one. The new machine is working even more productively. They are more than satisfied. They appreciated the ninja guys and returned to their tents. The other ninja guys are still drinking the ninja ambrosia and dangling the gals. It went on until midnight. The night shift diver ninja guys found the dead bodies of Dr. Chad, Captain roger Felix, some scientists and crewmembers and bagged them for official identification purpose. They also found the vehicles, weapons and some venturesome items. They watched the constellatory positions and began to fill the sixth underwater cavity with all the bricks they made in the night shift. The sun byebyed the US mainland and began the nonstop trekking towards the Polynesian Islands. The US naval command aircrafts are trying to reach the Islands before the sun dawn. The night shift ninjas suddenly began to hear the ventriloquial sounds of the aircrafts. They rushed to give the wake up call to the sleeping ninjas. The US naval command aircrafts landed on the Island. The US navy seals came out of the aircrafts with warning announcements. Willy quickly put on his uniform and approached the commanding officer with the papers. Rodrigo followed him with all the licenses and government permit letters to Shea Foundation to conduct the search on the Island for the dead bodies. The commanding officer checked all the workers and read the workers’ list to make sure every thing is legally satisfying. He showed his hand towards the body bags and the articles. The navy seals rushed to the spot and checked the reports itemwise. Rodrigo and Nick looked at Willy with a silent request to approach the officer and talk to him. Willy explained every thing to the commanding officer in his official way. The commanding officer was satisfied and said, ‘you have two more days to finish your job on this Island. You have to evacuate the Island immediately after that. The government is going sell these Islands. You must renew your licenses after that’. He asked Willy, ‘is that clear officer Willy?’ Willy said, ‘yes, sir!’ The navy commanding officer then explained, ‘we came here to fix the antennas on all the thirteen deluge-affected Islands. We are told that you have some rigging machines with you. You can spare one machine and four of your workers for an hour’. Willy looked at Rodrigo and got his approval and said, ‘no problem sir!’ While they were fixing the antennas the cook served breakfast for all and invited the navy seals to join. The navy commanding officer began to enjoy the continental breakfast. Rodrigo started conversation with the commanding officer and explained how terrible the recent deluge was. Willy is giving directions to the workers to fix the high-powered antenna. Nick is taking very good care to conceal the gold secret from the navy guys. He engaged the gals to entertain the navy guys during the breakfast session. The workers fixed the antenna. The commanding officer walked towards the high-powered antenna to switch it on. Once it is switched on the operators in Hawaii can see the whole Island on their screens. Moreover there is a mechanical conditioner attached to the antenna sensors. Once it is switched on the operator in Hawaii can only switch it off with the remote control device. Willy knew about this system. This seemed to be the right time for him to show his loyalty to Rodrigo and Nick. He went to them and explained about the situation. Rodrigo ad Nick appreciated his timely precaution. They both said, ‘you will be our equal partner. We promise you by our lives. We have two more days to do our job. Just tell him one good reason and stop him’. Willy looked into their eyes and noticed that they are desperately telling the truth and promising him the equal partnership. He wanted to hear it again. He quietly switched on his tiny tape recorder and looked at them again. They re-promised the equal partnership to him again and urged him to go and stop the commanding officer. They ultimately begged him and said, ‘we cannot afford to kill any more government agents. That would certainly ring all hell around our heads with unwanted attention. We may be kleptomaniacs but we should never become megalomaniacs like those politicians. This is not the time to go for headlines’. Willy stood up and walked towards the antenna station. The commanding officer is still chatting with the gals and watching the high-powered crustacean antenna mushroom tower. The workers are getting down from the tower. The commanding officer saw Willy and asked him to recheck the whole connections. Willy hesitantly climbed the tower and slowly double-checked every thing and shouted, ‘its clear sir!’ The commanding officer quickly turned his head towards Willy and said with a loud voice, ‘officer Willy! Do not switch it on now. Just come down’. Willy came down. The commanding officer said, ‘you can switch it on after you finish your work and before you evacuate the Island. I will put you in charge of this’. Willy said, ‘certainly sir! I will switch it on as soon as we finish the search. We will evacuate the Island after that sir’. The commanding officer began to walk towards the aircraft. Rodrigo said, ‘sir, you can take our workers to the other Islands to fix the antennas’. The commanding officer said, ‘that won’t be necessary. This is the big Island and we need the high-powered antenna station here only. For all the other tiny Islands we have antennules and we know how to take care of those little ones. But thanks any way’. The commanding officer signaled his radioman. The radio operator dialed and gave the receiver to the officer. He said, ‘this is naval task force 121. The main antenna tower fixed okay in the big Island thirteen. Special officer Willy took charge to switch it on. Can confirm with him directly’. The other end said, ‘officer Willy! It must be switched on by Friday afternoon. Repeat coming Friday afternoon by one pm sharp’. Willy said, ‘this is special officer Willy from Island thirteen. Message acknowledged. Must switch on the antenna system by Friday one pm sharp’. The radioman gave the officially signed printout to Willy.
