“You still don’t believe that I’m not here to kill you all. You believe the rumours of your people don’t you?” Shouted Faith at Matthieu in a burst of anger caused by Matthieu turning away and walking off. She was used to people waiting to see what she had to say; the vampire elder even did so.
“Part of me believes these rumours but from what I have seen of you so far I believe different. You are here on Tony’s request and he being in my chain of command I have to trust his decision of bringing you here.” Matthieu said as he carried on walking across the room.
“Could you at least look at me when you say that.” Said Faith as Matthieu stopped at a large wooden door.
“Something inside of me doesn’t yet trust you, but because of last nights actions I shall let you stay here under my watch as if you were one of my brethren. However, it is on Tony’s head if you live out these rumours.” Said Matthieu as he opened the door and looked back at Faith standing alone in the causeway.

“Ok, then. Is everyone here?” Asked Matthieu in the dim, conference room. All of the elite’s were here. Tony sat next to the projector with the controls in his hand, Benk was next to him, and then Des, Rikard and Matthieu was standing by the wall which the projector was facing. The funny thing was that Faith was present also.
“Well I guess everyone is. Well let’s get on with this shit.” Said Matthieu as he pointed at Tony, who started the projector with the first screen.
“Here’s our point of attack,” Said Matthieu as a picture of an abandoned dockyard came up onto the wall. “Apparently there’s gonna be a large import of weapons tonight and these aren’t the average weapon. These weapons are designed to kill our people. So it’s of highest priority that we destroy or nick these weapons.”
The next slide came up onto the wall. It was separated into sections.
“Ok, Tony. You, Benk and Des will insert first on the scramblers, but just enough so you look like a bunch of kids riding around. We just want to arouse slight suspicion, and then myself, Rikard and Faith will come in, in the Land Rover.”
“Sounds good” Said Faith from the back of the room.
“Well Faith, you can tell us about how many of your kind are guarding this shit.” Said Matthieu as he stepped forwards towards the table.
“It’s been a while since I’ve been there but there’s normally about 20-30 vampires there, heavily armed. They’ve got an instant connection with the vampire manor aswell.
“Ok, Tony when you start to ride around dump the bikes and try find that radio and destroy it. We don’t want all the fucking vampires in this city chasing after us. Yet.” Said Matthieu as he switched of the projector and walked to the front of the room.
“Faith, what time is this shipment supposed to arrive?” Asked Des, as he turned to face her, his young face looking upon as if in worship.
“It’s supposed to be arriving at about 11. But I learnt this a couple of days ago so it may have changed.” Replied Faith as she looked at Matthieu as she claimed a change of times, she feared that by saying this she has betrayed the lycan race and her lover. And that for this betrayal Matthieu would kill her.
However Matthieu looked cool and collect. He looked at the dimly lit clock face on the wall, they had an hour.
“Ok, get your shit packed we move out in half an hour. Meet up in the garage.” At that order everyone got up to leave the room. “Oh and Des, don’t worry about your rifle you wont be needin’ it.” Des nodded and left the room.
Matthieu sat in the grim darkness of the briefing room, alone with his thoughts. And a bottle of vodka. Although at his age alcohol wasn’t as fun anymore, he had become immune to it after spending a 1000years on the stuff.
“Are you ok Matt?” Came the calming voice of Sianara, she walked into the room and knelt by Matthieu’s knee, both hands resting upon it.
“Yeah I’m fine. This day shall help our people win this war and it’s no time to be down.” Replied Matthieu as he looked into his wife’s brown eyes. He could see the fear in them, the same fear that she always felt when he left to fight, for one reason or another. “I’ll be fine, ok? I’ll see you when we get back.” And at that their heads drew nearer each other and they kissed in the fading light of a couple of candles.

Chapter 6

The Tutor walked into the grand room, of which contained the ultimate vampire. He had news of which was ill. “Ah Faith finally you’ve arrived, here is the plan we’ll…” said Mathieu, not looking at who entered the room, the Tutor broke his sentence. He took a deep breathe before speaking “sire, apologies to break your immortal words but…” Mathieu looked around at the alone Tutor, he seemed scared. “What… Where is Faith?” he screamed, approaching the wise vampire. “I’m sorry sire but she is missing once more, she left during last night and never returned.
Mathieu’s face started to burn red with anger, they were half an hour away from tipping the war in their favour and suddenly this tragedy occurs. “You have until tomorrow morning to get her back, or I’ll hunt you myself” he whispered. Lightening struck hard and rain began to fall on the mansion’s roof. The Tutor looked down at the floor before leaving the room, it was going to be a rough night for the old vampire. “Sometimes that girl gets me in too much damn trouble”

Tony was an ace on the scrambler; he was one of three surrounding the land rover in the middle of the road. The rain began to get heavy and soaked the mud at the side of the road, making it harder to ride on. They had to take a turn half a mile away from the mansion front to attack the harbour side of the complex. If they cocked this up, they weren’t going to be in a good position for survival. By Faith’s description, these new weapons wouldn’t just leak silver into their bloodstream but actually fuse it with the blood cells. It would be the end and no elder could prevent death from a shot like that.
Matthieu looked deep into Faith’s eyes on the land rover. There was still a small doubt in his mind about the girl that had changed the heart of his most loyal servant. They would be there in 15 minutes that gave them another 15 minutes to get in position and to eliminate the loot. It was rare for the Lycan lord to go out on a mission but it was even rarer that a vampire was helping them. There was still a burning hate inside the lord, Faith had killed many of his brethren before this. However, his experience had told him that more blood solved nothing, there was no need for unnecessary death.
Faith began thinking to herself, evil and good thoughts crept into her delicate mind like some kind of sickening virus. “What am I doing? What has changed only over the last 2 days? I’m going to help my enemy against my friend? No, I must stick by my choices, stick by my lover, I’m not going to hurt anyone, I’m going to prevent more death” suddenly, the moon sky flickered the Lycan lords facial expression toward her. She smiled then wrote something on a notebook she kept inside her hoodie, then threw it toward the elite monster.
It read “we both have sharp teeth”, he smiled back and hid the paper in his pocket.

“ooh yeah baby, that’s awesome, keep it going baby” he groaned in satisfaction. He stood on the mansion wall, he was supposed to be on duty but him and his knee bent girlfriend had other plans. His rifle laid on the floor next to them as the vampire female continued her blow work. Security around the front of the complex was weaker than usual because most guards were being stationed around the back, toward the harbour. He carefully pressed his large hand on her head and started to close his eyes in pleasure.
In a split second he opened up his eyes, only to see a squadron of lycans approaching the wall, on bikes and a large SUV. “LYCANS” He shouted in panic. His girlfriend, in panic also, bit hard. Because of her extremely sharp teeth, his manhood split into two and he fell to the floor. The girl screamed over and over again. The guard couldn’t scream, he was already dead.

“Alright people” Matthieu shouted as the trees flickered the moonlight. The speed was almost 80 MPH; the plan was to distract the side guards. The front gate gained ever closer, within seconds they were almost at contact point. “GO GO GO!!” the lord screamed as all the elites and the lord himself jumped out of their vehicles. The land rover and bikes hit the outer wall, which resulted in a large explosion, the golden light lit up the sky in a mix of gold and silver. Their plan had worked and the vampire guards had been drawn toward the explosion. The team of hopefuls used their night stealth to travel toward the back end of the illustrious mansion, so far so good but it was only the beginning. Tony, Des and Benk used their grapple hooks on the side of the wall to wall climb their way toward the harbour, Matthieu, Faith and Rikard used the river that connected to the harbour a short area away from the others. They had 5 minutes before the shipment arrived.

“Lord Mathieu, the shipment is here sire, the research department gives great privilege to announce the Ultima range” said the researcher, behind him was a huge boat full of the weapons that the vampires had been waiting for. The researcher had a large grin on his face as the vampire elite and the ultimate vampire looked at the prototypes on a table laid near the boat. “I am most pleased with the success of these new weapons, your groups efforts to eradicate the lycan threat has been priceless”
The vampire elite looked around, even Liash who had an arm missing still had a large grin on his face as he inspected the weapons. “I’ll get that bastard back for taking my arm” Liash stated in a loud and proud voice. Mathieu, with a smile, clicked his fingers for his minions to start unloading the boat. 20 big built vampires approached the boat quickly.

“ATTACK!” Tony shouted as the group of Lycans charged toward the workers. Quickly the vampire elite sprang into action. Des managed to get a quick strike in as a human form, slicing Tashma’s cheek open. It spurred out with blood as the three lycans transformed into their werewolf state. Tony charged forward into Nathackt who blocked his path toward the vampire lord. With a quick claw strike, he knocked back the elite fighter and slammed into the vampire lord. “C’MON” the feisty lycan shouted while locking hands with Mathieu. The lord laughed and simply reversed Tony’s move, locking him in a choke lock. “you move any closer and your friend dies!” he shouted, Des and Benk backed off a couple metres, waiting for their lord to arrive.
Rikard began planting the bomb on the boat as Matthieu and Faith looked on. Faith looked at the lycan lord with soft eyes. “take me hostage, give me back to them for the sake of Tony, please” she whispered in his ear. He looked at her, she was for real, and she really did love him. He grabbed the princess and flung himself over the side of the boat, revealing his identity to the vampire lord. “MATTHIEU” shouted Mathieu. Benk and Des didn’t know what was going to happen, it looked as if Faith was Matthieu’s hostage. “let him go and you’ll get her back” stated the lord, in a dull vacant tone. He didn’t like this one bit but it had to be done, Faith could get out again… hopefully. Lightening struck again, the vampire lord made his decision fast, blinded by his unrequited love toward his princess. He threw the lifeless body of the lycan elite as Faith was pushed toward the vampires. Without speech, the lycan’s made their escape, not a mission successful, they had lost a friend.
