Laams (Love Apon A Moon Sky) (2)

“Why’d you stop fuckwit?” asked Rikard who was asking the question on everybody’s mind. Midnight bells struck and the moon was full again. The quarters were full of drunken lycan unaware of what had happened that night. Only Rikard, Benk and a battered Tony stayed awake as the bells continued to rattle on. Tony looked through the darkness to the two lycan elite members and replied for the first time not knowing what to say “I don’t know, it was like, I just couldn’t force myself to do it, no matter how hard I tried”. The bells cried out it’s last sound and everything went silent. The three rested themselves to sleep, their eyes drew close and they soon were seeping into a gentle slumber.
Through all the bustling traffic and rampant tramps on the street, a scream, high pitched and extremely loud rattled through the city. Tony sat up quickly, untransformed and in a tank top. “Damn, another vampire attack, better sort those bastards out myself” he picked himself up and threw on his hoodie and jeans. Creeping slowly out of the room he opened up the door and continued out to see what this fuss was all about.
The night was almost silent. A cut out scream crept into Faith’s ears and awoke her. “Another lycan attack, better sort this out and show to Mathieu that I can still get the job done”. She swiftly got dressed and during this she realised something. That lycan’s claws had penetrated her skin had left quite a nasty mark, some kind of red rash remained. She exited out her window and climbed down the bottom. It was raining; full moon and the darkness remained. She may encounter some resistance on the way.
“Wake up you little fuckers!” Matthieu shouted, “Where’s Tony?” every lycan woke up with a hangover. They all looked toward Tony’s bed, he had disappeared. “He’s going to see that damn bitch again! Sianara, get me my stuff, I’m going to kill the fucker”
“Excuse me miss, are you okay, I heard you scream” asked Tony. The human looked shaken up; “I thought someone was following me, but I was mistaken, thank you for coming though” the human woman nodded to him and walked away. The parking lot was dark, lit up by a single light that situated in the middle of the set of parked cars. Just as she walked away, another woman started to walk toward him. This attire, he had seen it before. It was a vampire. The vampire came closer to the light and her true identity was shown. It was the vampire princess. “Die you creature from the depths of hell” he laughed at her, knowing that in some sense, she didn’t know who she was talking to. He pulled down his hoodie and spoke in a light voice as she approached him, still not knowing who he was. “I’m Tony, the lycan who didn’t rip your little head off remember?” She stopped her motion, this person, of whom she had obtained forbidden feelings for had just walked into her life. This unknown urge came over her as she charged toward the lycan and kissed him.
The two sat in the corner of the open moonlit park. The animals crawled around them; the city bustled with the sound of car horns and gossiping night lifers. A single river ran through the middle of the city, the lights shimmered onto it, the park was on the start side of this displaced river. The night lights, coming from apartment windows and shop advertisements. The two snuggled up with each other, Faith rested on Tony’s heart, and felt it beat an irregular beat, but she still loved him. For some reason, they talked and talked, the more and more they knew about each other the more they loved each other. Tony had never experienced these feelings before. They were completely new to the lycan, the same was for the vampire princess, this was love at first sight but what really made it desirable was that it was forbidden. It was about midnight, the city carried on in its abruptness. The couple stayed silent for a while, just running it through their heads that they had fallen in love with a person that was not allowed. It had become something so great, but something so bad in the eyes of their superiors.
As soon as their eyes drifted off to sleep, Faith drifted to sleep on Tony’s chest and his eyes slowly weakened. As his final breath slowed down and his body shut down, another lycan approached him. “Shit, Faith get up, it’s Matthieu”, and this statement was true, it was the lycan elder, ready and prepped for a fight. He lunged toward him, only to find his match, it was going to be Tony vs. Matthieu. Tony lunged toward in a bite attack, but only met his elder’s claw in the face. Tony landed a punch in the stomach but had little effect, the elder punched his learner in the face, sending him into a bench and breaking it completely apart. He still stood up, but soon met another punch to the face. Then Tony transformed, and the fight really began. Tony threw his elite off of him, but Matthieu saw the vampire princess and made his inevitable attack on her. Tony sensed this danger early, and dived into the attack, being dealt a devastating attack onto his chest. Matthieu stopped in his tracks as he realised something. “He really does love her,” he thought to himself. He picked up his fellow brother, and patted him on the shoulder. “I don’t like it mate, but a friend of yours is a friend of mine”.
“TOKE TOKE TOKE TOKE TOKE, oh my god she’s never had pot before” explained the drunken elder. “Well, you see, my bloody superior, won’t let it in our place, the arse”. All of the lycan looked around at each other, and burst out in laughter, “oh my god, posh swearing!!!” Benk, Matthieu, Des, Rikard, Faith and Tony all sat in a circle in the main hall, toking away at a joint, and getting fairly wasted. “You know, for a vampire, you aint that bad”. “Oh my god, she’s wasted!!” shouted out Tony at the top of his voice. “So why didn’t you kill her anyway fuckwit?” Asked Rikard. Tony sat there thinking and the he broke out. “’cos she’s got boobs!” Said Tony as he laughed into his hands. They all laughed, and eventually went to sleep; Faith laid on Tony, her only love.
For the first time in a week, the light actually came into the world. Everyone in the lycan manor had awoken, except for the vampire beauty. She woke up, feeling a major headache, which she had never experienced before, it was her first hangover. She woke up in the middle of the floor, in the master’s chamber, a mirror reflected into her eyes. Her sight could decipher her attire; she wore a single red hoodie, and ripped jeans. Tony was not there “why don’t I go look for him, my new lover”. The door opened easily, it was wooden and shabby, not like the one’s at the manor, they were so posh and it seemed like these lycan were so down to earth, regret kicked in, maybe all the lycan she killed were just like Tony. She stepped out, and the light burned her skin. Her scream echoed throughout the courtyard. Almost every lycan on patrol look around and noticed the vampire, they began their attack. They moved toward her moving in for the kill. They got closer and closer, with weapons like bats and swords. Just as one began their attack, and threw his weapon forward, Tony swung up onto the balcony and flying kicked the bat from his hand. The others realised this so called “treachery” and begun their attack on their fellow lycan.
The first drove ahead forward, only to meet the front of Tony’s foot. He span round and attacked another with the same foot. Two were down, Tony ran up against the wall, and bounced off, spearing a lycan to the floor. The fight stopped suddenly to the voice of Matthieu who walked over to Faith ensuring her safety. “She’s with us okay!!”

Chapter 5

The darkness still sat around the vampire mansion no light ever reached this place, the presence of thousands of un-dead beings had rid the area of plant life and sunlight.
A chandelier suspended above Mathieu’s seat lit the courtroom, it threw shadows up against the walls, and the shadow of the Tutor was distinct against the wall.
“When is the shipment coming in?” Came the voice if Mathieu.
“It’s due to arrive in the shipyard at about 11 tonight, sire.” Answered the Tutor.
“Good, very good. Nothing had better go wrong with the transport of this shipment, it is necessary for us to obtain the weapons within, and it shall bring this battle in our favour. We shall be able to destroy the lycan once and for all, even their precious leader Matthieu will be no match for these weapons.” Said Mathieu as he walked over to the Tutor. “Now my brother go and awaken Faith for me. I wish to speak with her.” Asked Mathieu as he sat down in his chair in the centre of the room.
“At once sire.” Replied the Tutor as he walked from the room and down the hallway to Faith’s room.
The Tutor approached the room quietly but dreaded to open the door, for the last time he did he witnessed such disregard for the ways of the vampires that burnt into his sub-conscious. He slowly opened the door and pecked inside to see if he wasn’t intruding with anything. He walked in to see no one there; the room was silent except for the same noise found everywhere of the large number of vampires in one mansion.
He searched the room for any trace of Faith but was about to leave before he realised a long, thin, scratch mark that ran across the open window. It looked to be from a zip of a trench coat.
The Tutor made his way down the stairs into the main hallway, and headed out of the large, wooden doorway, and into the moonlight of the grounds. He walked past numerous dead trees and the very grass beneath his feet was brown and broken. He headed down to a small building by the large metal gates of the compound. Here were all of the CCTV controls and tapes.
“Evening Tutor, how can I help you this night?” Asked a vampire as the Tutor opened the door.
“Evening, Ninarias. I was wondering if Faith ever left the compound in the last 24 hours.” Said the Tutor as he shut the door behind him and sat at a stool by the bench full of TV screens.
“I’m sorry but you’ll have to be a bit more specific, there are a few Faith’s in that mansion that have left in the last 24 hours.”
“Oh, my apologies, I speak of the princess Faith.” Replied the Tutor as he looked at Ninarias.
“Ah, yes she left last night at about 23:45. She claimed to be heading out to sort out a lycan attack.” Said Ninarias as he pulled out videotape and placed it in the player. It showed Faith talking to one of the guards and then running out into the darkness of the night.
“Excellent so when did she return?” Said the Tutor as the video stopped leaving a snowstorm on the screen.
“Well that is a problem,” said Ninarias as he took out the tape and put it back into storage, “She never came back, not through the gate or over the walls.
Fear struck the tutor, as he believed that she had been killed out on duty, he had to now return to Mathieu with the news.
“I guess Mathieu won’t be to happy, will he?” Said Ninarias as the Tutor left the building and headed back up to the mansion.
The Tutor walked up the stairs back to Mathieu’s chamber, every step that he took built up the levels of dread developing in his soul. He was wishing he had never been sent to get Faith, that someone else had gone in his stead and that they would be the ones punished.

Faith felt quite unsafe in the lycan manor, granted she had the elite’s on her side but most of the lycan hadn’t accepted Faith into the manor believing that she was a spy sent to kill them in the middle of the night or something. However because Matthieu claimed she was with him and the other elite’s no one questioned it knowing that Matthieu could come out of a full-scale battle with his brethren practically un-scathed.
“Hey Matt!” Came the voice of Faith from behind him as he walked down the winding stairs into the main chamber. Matt spun around to look at the vampire princess race after him. Part of the elder believed the rumours of his people but after last night he did believe that she was different.
“I want to thank you for stopping the fight this morning.” Said Faith as she slid to a halt on the wooden floor.
“Well Tony could have done a good job but he couldn’t have taken on everyone. Some one had to stand in, it was nothing.” Said Matthieu as he carried on walking with Faith behind him.
