Ucw: The Story Of The Man, Part Three (5)
“Oh yes Mr. Sayers we are extremely glad that you want to work for us, next weeks pay per view is going to rock” Steph smiled at the idea of a family feud being settled brutally in a ring being televised to over 10 million viewers. “Now for your entrance, what would you like your music to be?” Colin smiled, it was just like old times “something with a little rock feeling with it” Steph smiled and nodded to him. All the guys were there except The Man who was of taking care of Amy. Colin sat down in his chair next to Mosh, The man’s adoptive brother. “So what’s your name mate?” Colin looked around at the largely tall physical specimen that sat beside him parallel to the empty ring. “Daddy, The Big Daddy was my name”. Mosh looked at the ring with initiative, he wanted to show the legend what he was made of. Daddy looked to the ring accepting his challenge. “Ben, get over here!” Mosh had enough; he seemed to underestimate the old man. Ben walked over from the free weight section and looked at the tired Mosh. It seemed as if he was outwrestled ten times over. “That guy in there, Daddy, he’s an awesome wrestler, he kicked my ass”. Ben looked at the muscular guy in the ring, the sweat dripped off him as he stroked his beard. “Rumours going around that he’s the champs dad” Mosh bent down to get some air but looked up at what Ben said “so that’s his dad huh? I can see where he gets his talent from”. Daddy rolled out of the ring and extended his hand out to Mosh. Mosh looked at his hand and then shook it in respect for him; he had never seen such strength and talent in a wrestler before. He was generally impressed. “So your Tony’s dad huh? You gonna fight him for the title yeah?” Daddy just nodded slowly and walked to his training bag. The show kicked off with a heavy display of fireworks and lighting. UCW Heat wave was coming soon and the fans wanted to know what the main event would be. All of the matches were great but what the fans really wanted to see was Steph’s announcement on the no.1 contender. She walked out to the ring with a huge grin on her face. She looked around the crowd with nothing but profit in her eye. She started to speak but no one took notice of her, they were beginning to become impatient. Halfway through her speech, Daddy’s music hit and he came down to the ring. The crowd all screamed, all the rumours were true; The Man would have to fight his father. As Daddy started to walk down the ramp, out of nowhere Tony attacked with all his force. He continued to hammer away at his father no matter how much Steph tried to stop him. Eventually Colin was beaten to a pulp and Tony was not finished yet. He lifted the beaten body above his head and looked to the table below. As he released his grip, Amy speared the man back to safety away from the edge of the stage. Tony let go of Colin’s body and landed in extreme pain. Amy grabbed Colin by the arm and dragged him out of Tony’s range. She lifted him backstage and hid him in a locker room. She waited for Tony to find them but he never did. They waited until midnight to be sure. Amy dragged Daddy to her car as she drove him to a nearby hotel. She stayed there the night as well, she knew Tony would get better when he would go against Colin, or at least she hoped. The Pay Per View was only next week, her marriage, her baby and her “Tony” would be saved by his father. It was that night where she prayed for the first time; it was that night where she turned into a Christian. Pleading to god for everything to be right. Date: May 9th 1997 Location: UCW Heat Wave He breathed slowly. One million thoughts circled around in his head, just taunting him. He was used to this as it was the same feeling that he had every time before a big show but not as big as this. He flicked his hair back and sat up straight against the wall. He thought, sighed then thought again about his life, what he had accomplished to become what he was today, he thought about Amy. He didn’t want to be an old man and brag about his life story so he just thought about it, the story dates back to his childhood. He was about to fight his father with so much on the line. The source of his talent, the source of his hatred and the source of his insanity was his father who he was going to face tonight. There were millions of thoughts in his mind but only one thing stood out from the rest. “Whatever you want Tony I’m behind you all the way” this was what Amy said to him just before all the bad happened. “The only thing to do I guess is to fight”. He could hear Daddy’s entrance music hit from the locker room, it wasn’t a lot different from his own. He tightened his shorts and slipped on his tank top ready for battle. Just as he left the locker room he bumped into Amy. He looked deep into her eyes with the look of an innocent child forced to fight the one who made him who he was. She grabbed his hand and held it up to his face next to her hand. The two wedding rings glistened in the flickering light of the hallway “whatever you want, Tony I’m behind you”. He looked down the hallway where his music was coming from, it was now or never. He pulled his hand away and smiled at Amy. He walked over to the curtain not looking back at his past. It was time to settle this once and for all. The bell ringed at the atmosphere was filled will electricity. The tension between the two competitors was so strong you could cut it with a knife. Years and years of waiting was about to end, they were going to settle this life long feud in a hellacious fight. Man stretched on the ropes, tugging at them. Daddy stroked his beard in the normal fashion. The two got within attack position and locked in the grapple. Daddy showed his strength and overall physical greatness by throwing his son across the ring in a push move. Man landed on his back but quickly flipped up and the two were back at square one. Then Man landed a lucky clothesline and started to pummel away at his father. Daddy overpowered the champion and picked him up, above his head. The crowd and wrestlers watching backstage were shocked by the power that Daddy possessed. As he was about to drop The Man for a big move, he reversed it and Man picked up Daddy just like he was picked up. He dropped him down as Daddy landed face onto the canvas. Then weapons like chairs and tables flew into the ring as Man prepared for his bloodbath. As Daddy crawled up from the devastating move, Man jumped with a chair at him. The move missed its target and the bearded wonder managed to deal a DDT onto an extra chair that laid in the ring. Man was straight down, Daddy started to use his power slams and bombs onto various tables and chairs in the ring. Then he signalled for the signature move, the big bad leg drop. He bounced against the ropes and jumped high into the air, gaining as much air as he could. Then he slammed his big beefy leg down onto his opponent’s neck. It was over. Daddy crawled over for the pin. 1…2… oh no!!! Somehow, someway Man managed to lift up his shoulder and break the count. The crowd roared in absolute disbelief, as did the millions of viewers at home. Daddy’s eyes widened as he started to think “how am I gonna win this thing?” he pulled himself up and set up a table. He picked up Man by his hair and picked him up on his shoulders, ready for his own Deviator. As he applied his strength onto The Man’s body, he turned the momentum against his father, throwing him high in midair and crashing down through the table. The pin however only managed a two count. Then the champ kneeled down by the corner of the ring and waited for the spear. As Big Daddy slowly dragged himself up, he turned around and realised what move was going to be used. It was too late for him to notice, as he tried to move he was already rolling on the floor in pain. The pin was made, it had to be over 1…2……oh my god!! Daddy flipped straight up like the move never happened and started to pummel The Man down. Then when the opposer was down, he climbed up to the top rope and looked around at the crowd. He jumped with his leg high in the air, at the moment of impact The Man rolled out of the way and left a chair in his place. The big leg of Daddy collided with the chair and great pain enslaved him. The Man shouted for him to get up and slowly he did. When he stood up on both feet he received another devastating spear. The Man rolled him over for the pin 1…2…… Date: May 10th 1997 Location: local hospital “I’m glad you got that over and done with, finally you two can talk to eachother without beating the living crap out of eachother!” said Amy in relief. She was the only one not in a hospital bed in the conversation, to tell the truth she felt a little left out. “Hahahahaha, hey son the next time you kick my ass make sure that your mothers watching it, she would love to see that” Colin chuckled. Tony smiled while holding his arm covered in a cast, for he had broken it. The Sayers family were finally reunited, an old feud settled in one of the most brutal fashions but hey, that’s the Sayers way of doing things. Colin had signed a new 3-year contract to UCW and now had returned to wrestling. Tony regained his title from his father and admitted to the press that it was his hardest battle, physically and mentally. Amy’s assault charges were dropped after new evidence was found that the nurse attending to her was actually a drug addict, thanks to her solicitor Colin of course. All the anger and hatred that the young boy and man that Tony had experienced was finally let out and he felt generally much better, although it involved having a viscous street fight with his father. Part Two: Dark Secrets She thought to herself “how did things come to this” her shirt dripped in blood, the blood of a person of which she loved more than her own life and the cause was her own dark secret. That damn secret that only one person can take away. The secret that had destroyed most of what she had and most of the people that she knew. She wasn’t entirely sure if she was dead herself. Date: July 4th 1998 Location: Hollywood, California The sun glared brightly at the small family. Tony was a lot more strong now, much more muscle. Amy was looking better everyday, more beautiful by the day. Rebecca, the child who was only a couple of months old hung on a baby carrier of which Tony was carrying. They decided to take a tour through the film studios; they were on a week’s vacation. Through all the adoring fans, they managed to get a fairly good tour. Tony and Amy found it hard to withstand the heat having been brought up in not so hot England however it was no test for baby girl Rebecca. “Dad, can I get an ice cream please?” said the sensitive voice of a typical teenager. Tony turned around to his adoptive 18-year-old daughter, Rachael. She had long brown hair and glistening blue eyes, she was also very short for her age and had to resort to buying 12-13 years size of clothes. Tony smiled at her; he loved his children almost as much as Amy. He couldn’t reply to her thanks to the crowds of people surrounding him so Amy pulled her away from the avalanche of fans. “Yeah, course ya can” said Amy in an almost western accent. Rachael’s face still was down “Mum? Why does dad have to be so famous, why does he have to ignore me?” Amy looked over to her husband being bombarded with pieces of paper and pens. “He’s got a lot of people to please honey, a lot of people look up to him, he still loves you but just he has to take others into account as well”. Rachael looked down at the ground in disappointment. “Hey Tony, get over here!!” Amy shouted, it could his attention and he started to walk through the crowd of fans who were being told to leave the premises. “Yes my lovely family” said Tony. Amy just nodded toward the young girl who just wanted some attention. “I know it’s hard to live with, but I will have time for you, hey I got some now!” Rachael just smiled and hugged her colossal father. “Thanks daddy, I love you”. Just then a rhythmic ring interrupted the touching moment, it was easily recognisable of what it was. It was his mobile phone. Rachael’s eyes rolled back like a typical American hormone driven teenager. Tony gave his little baby over to Amy while he took the call “yeah wassup?” As he talked Amy and the family wiped their foreheads to dispose of the dripping sweat that seamed off of them. They slowly trudged over to the ice cream stand and waited for their purchase. While they were waiting they could see the main man of the family shouting over the phone attracting attention to a lot of nearby people. He finally closed up the phone and power walked over to the ice cream stand. “look, I’m really sorry but I’ve got an autograph signing in about half an hour, I’m gonna have to go right now, you guys okay with that?”. The two older women just nodded and turned their back on him. He recognised that this was no the right time to sort this dilemma out, he walked down the path that lead to the car park. When the girls looked back he was already gone, a distant haze away from them. Mentally and physically. Date: July 5th 1998 location: Two Hollywood hotels “Y’know we really missed you today” said the dark persuasive voice of Amy. She sat comfortably in the most expensive room in the hotel situated on the west side of the town; Tony was on the east side. “I know baby but I gotta do this work, or we gonna be broke. I’m doing all this for you and the family. It’s not as if I do this for myself” Amy nodded as if Tony were there with her, that’s what she wanted, that’s what she missed, what she craved. Like some kind of obsession she needed to be with the man of which she loved. “Y’know Rachael cried when she got to the hotel” “really!” “Yeah, ‘fraid so, she just wants to be with you Tony” he sat up on the bed and grabbed the TV remote, he switched it immediately onto the news. “You’ve got a TV in you’re room!?” shouted Amy. Tony just laughed and chuckled “I guess you didn’t” both of them laughed a small laugh then the conversation continued. “what’s the headlines then?” Tony looked carefully and repeated the main story word by word as the main anchor explained it. “an ex-murderer was released today after serving a double life sentence. The police would not reveal his name, but our sources indicate that his first name is Jason. He is known simply for the way a plastic mask was moulded onto his face… kinda weird huh?” Amy giggled again “yeah, I’ve got a brother called Jason” “no shit” “yeah, I do” “why haven’t I met him” Amy’s once colourful face suddenly took a pale look “he uh.. died when I was young” “oh I’m sorry I didn’t know baby” “it’s fine, I got over it ages ago” “listen I’m gonna be back soon, back to New Jersey okay, I’ll meet you there”. She agreed quietly and slowly drifted off to sleep. Tony prepared for the event he had to do tonight, although it was his week off he still did the show. Even though he didn’t know why he still did it. The show was a success, the crowd were as vibrant as ever and the talent in the ring seemed to be growing like a small child. Backstage Tony managed to catch up with his father Colin. He hadn’t seen him in awhile and they managed to talk through the night about their adventures. Before they new it, Tony’s flight was coming near and he had to leave to go home. He felt great now that he could speak to his dad again, it always was something he needed and it was good to have it.
