Morning Things to do: 1. Get chocolate stain off converses. 2. Make welcome home card for mum 3. Tell mum to never ever leave me alone with Celine again. 4. Ask Jason if he likes me :’( 5. Get ready to meet Kriston. 6. Calm down 7. Dodge Celine’s fist when she finds out were I am going OOOH I am sooo hypo!!! I cant wait till 12 o’clock! Heeheee!!!!! 10 minutes later Do you think I should wear a dress??? 15 minutes later No dress bad idea I should go casual…. 20 minutes after last entry I CANT GET THE CHOCLATE STAIN OFF MY CONVERSES!!!! 5 minutes later I’ll just wear boots. 7 minutes later OH MY GOD!!!! Jason just hugged me?!?!??!! And lent me his converses! Hell I love him!!! 10 o’clock Oooh 2 hours 2 HOURS 10:05 This is taking longer than I thought…. 6:00pm hospital…again Celine broke my arm!!!! I swear to hell it is so broke this time!!! I knew I couldn’t trust Emma I god dammed knew it!!!! Now I’m the most hated girl in the whole SCHOOL!!! You guessed it EMMA saw me in the park with Kriston!!!!!!!!! Here is what happened: I was walking in the park with Kriston. We were HOLDING HANDS!!! -His hands are so smooth- and Emma saw us. And we saw her…. Emma: Kriston hi! -She looks at our hands- Kriston: oh hello Emma Emma: Maddy what are you doing here? -Grabs my arm and pulls me away- Emma: What are you doing with MY boyfriend? Me: your boyfriend? Is that what you are telling everyone? Emma: I don’t have to tell them they KNOW. -I walk back over to Kriston- Emma: don’t walk away from me! -Kriston and I start walking- Emma: oh I’m so sure Celine wants to know were YOU are Maddy. I’ll phone her. -I stop and turn round- Me: you wouldn’t dare. Emma: watch me Me: No Emma! She will kill me!!!! -Emma presses some buttons on her phone Celine’s voice comes on loudspeaker- Celine: hello? Emma: hi Celine! Do you know where Maddy is? Celine: shops…. Why? Emma: Maddy isn’t at the shops. Celine: what?? Emma: well you see Celine Maddy is here in the park…with me and is currently holding Kriston’s hand. Celine: what!!!!! MADDY!!! Me: no Celine I’m not Emma is lying! Celine: wait till I get hold of you! -Emma puts the phone down- Emma: bad Maddy! Kriston: Emma why did you do that? -Emma smiles at Kriston- Emma: oh Kriston, dear Kriston. I’ll do a lot worse if you don’t go out with me. Kriston: I don’t care if you hurt me. Emma: it’s not you I’m going to hurt. -She looks at me- Me: you scheming cow! Emma: oh and for that I am going to make you the least popular girl in school! I wouldn’t try anything I RULE that school. Come on Kriston lets go to my house. -He glances at me and reluctantly follows Emma down a path and out of site- So I had to go home eventually and when I enter the house I find my computer all smashed on the floor then Celine lunges at me and starts hitting me! I try hitting back a few times but it doesn’t work, it also doesn’t help when a certain devil is shouting, “fight fight fight” in your ear. Then I get thrown on the ground and I hear a sickening crack and a shot of pain runs up my arm…this time it is my pain though. Jason appears at the top of the stairs holding his arm and before I know what’s happening Celine grabs me and drags me to the bus stop. Here I sit. Lucky it’s my left arm that is most likely broken so I can still write. Celine has been whispering death threats in my ear encase I tell anyone what REALLY happened. Oh its out turn! 11th January playground before school. It was broken. I now have a cast. I found out this morning how serious Emma was about the popularity thing. NO ONE would look at me in the eye. I caught a glimpse of Kriston Emma and the gang sitting in their usual corner. Poor Kriston looked so helpless. I went and sat with Jason and his friend. They like me now because I tried to save them. When Jason’s friend –I found out his name is Gareth- left for jazz band –an early morning club before school- Jason and I started talking about our twin thing. Jason: do you think we could talk to each other in our minds? Me: I wish Jason: we should try it sometime Me: yeah. Did you feel it when my arm broke? Jason: yeah it hurt like hell. Me: that’s how I knew you guys were in trouble Friday I felt you get punched in the eye. Jason: this twin thing sucks! Me: yeah… maybe we could try and talk to each other in our brains. Jason: can it be done? Me: if it can we can quit school and go and get tested by brain scientists to see why. -Jason laughed. I felt a bolt of happiness run through me- Me: I felt your happiness just then. Jason: we can feel each other’s feelings as well. Me: that’s why I felt so bad when you told me you hated me Jason: that’s why I didn’t hold a grudge when you gave me that look I knew you were dieing inside. Me: I’m telling you this now if you get bored during a maths lesson and I am in art that boredom better not come to me. Jason: yeah and when people are being mean to you and you get suicidal I better not feel it to -I laughed- Jason: I felt that. Oooh bell! Lunchtime I’m still sitting with Jason and Gareth. Today has been the worst day of my ENTIRE life. Even worse than when I found out I was moving to England. It started in form time when people were spitting globs of paper at me through a straw, Yuk!, and at break Emma actually kissed Kriston right in front of me.-I wonder how hard she threatened to punch me to get him to do that- and all through lessons people were trying to trip me over. Jason says that all day he has been cringing cause people have been mean to me and made me sad and keep hitting me and stuff. I feel so bad for Jason as well cause of course he feels all my pain. It is SO hopeless my life will NEVER be the same again. 13th January Wednesday today which means D.T! Yesterday I had maths and Kriston didn’t touch his I pod once. We were just talking. He said that kissing Emma was the worst thing he ever done. He is really cute. I told him he didn’t have to worry about me and that I could handle Emma and my sister… Then Kriston came up with this BRILLIANT plan. HE is so clever! Basically because my sister also likes Kriston I tell her that Emma is going out with him who knows what will happen… then again now I think about it, it isn’t such a bright idea…. Cause if Kriston goes out with Celine there will be less chance of us being together…. 14th January I told Kriston it was a bad idea. He agreed. The plan is scrap. Yesterday in D.T. we tried to come up with more plans. We finally decided that the only way is to stand up to Emma .We will work on my sister later. 15th January Plan is in session all I have to do is sit here and when Kriston and Emma enter I… oh here she comes. Break time I am in a state of complete and utter shock! I just slapped Emma! That’s me American girl Maddy just slapped most-popular-girl-in-school EMMA! I got put in isolation for it and I’m still not very popular. BUT Kriston is mine! MINE I TELL YOU MINE!! I slapped that bitch then said, “you don’t scare me Emma, do what you like but you can’t hold someone against their will, you may have an iron grip over this school but not on me.” Then I slapped her again which was when a teacher caught me. 16th January Mum doesn’t care when her eldest daughter gets piercings and tattoos. But when her second youngest gets put in isolation, she goes loopy. I’m grounded, and mum isn’t buying me another computer I will have to buy one myself, which is pretty much impossible when I have also had my pocket money taken off me for the next month! I also have a black eye cause Emma hit me when she caught me kissing Kriston. That’s right I KISSED Kriston! It was great. We were just kind of sitting on a bench talking about flamingos and parrots (don’t ask) when his hand touched mine and he lent in close and we touched noses and then he kissed me! His hands didn’t stay holding mine for long they were soon holding my bum as I explored his rather muscled chest and strong back. Then Emma came other and hit me. He was SO angry with her! He took me to the nurse to get ice!!! Oh and get this!! CELINE HAS BEEN SIGNED UP FOR BRAT CAMP!!!!!! I found out when I got home from school just now! I asked why her room was all smashed up and she kind of screamed at me. Then Jason came out of his room and asked me why his ears felt like they had just exploded and when I told him why he laughed and said “oh yeah mum didn’t tell us but two days ago Celine pushed mum into the kitchen counter and threatened to kill her so mum signed her up for brat camp! The people are taking her away tomorrow!” I laughed as well. February 14th Sorry I haven’t wrote for ages but my life has been going SO well! Kriston and me are an item! Celine is on brat camp (we watch her all the time) mum has opened a few stores! They aren’t going to well though. Tescos seems to rule England. Two stores have already gone out of business and there are only 2 left. I’m pretty worried about mums business. March 4th I’m crying! This is the worst thing ever!!!! All mums’ stores are out of business here in the U.K.!!! And we have to move home. There is nothing here for us. We have to go back to America… I have to go back to America… I have to leave Kriston. I don’t want to go! I can’t go back. We are settled here. I have friends and I have someone who loves me for me. I came here for nothing, it was all for nothing. Jason is crying as well. When we found out we had to go home Jason ran to his room and wouldn’t let anyone but me in. Jason and me have a connection now. This trip has connected us in a way that cannot be explained. I’m deeply grateful. I told Kriston that I had to go yesterday and we both sat and cried in each other’s arms. I’m leaving this afternoon. But I’m also leaving this book behind. It is no use to me. I’m going to bury it in the garden. Jason and me sat on his bed this morning and cried. And this afternoon Kriston is coming to my house before I leave so I can say goodbye. Even Sam is crying and Celine! She has learnt her lesson from brat camp and has changed a lot. I will always remember this book and Kriston; I will always remember the bond Jason and I have formed. Looking on the bright side I’m going to see Maya and my family again and all my old school mates. I should be happy. I should be VERY happy. So why can’t I stop crying? Epilouge I found this book in my garden the other day. It was in a box. It amazes me the things written here. I traced the owner of this book. I found out that she is now 21 and has a wonderful boyfriend! She works in a bank now! I also found Kriston. He is also 21 and has a girlfriend. I found Emma as well! She works in Tescos and is also 21. I asked Maddy about Celine but sadly she left home at 18 and none of the family have heard from her since. It is believed that she is in Texas living with her father. No one really knows for sure. I am very good friends with Maddy even though I am 71. I have passed this book down to my great grandson who is 15. Maybe she will have an interesting tale to tell…
