Love

You are the light that makes my day and brightens up my life.

You made me very happy when you wanted me to be your wife.

As years go by I wonder what I ever did so right,

That you came in my life and saved me from the frightening night.

I thank the Lord for everyday that we can live as one,

And we will be together always till this word is done.

If Ever

If ever there should be a song lighten up ones heart,

If ever there should be a verse with beauty from the start.

If ever there should be a world so peaceful to behold.

If ever there should be a tale of love but yet untold.

If ever there should be a moment old but yet new,

If everything that should be, would mean nothing without you.

Feelings

To feel the breeze that brings the tide, the huge moon high above,

To feel the sand and look around this Eden that I love.

To run along and play with the waves that wash upon the shores,

To roll around the sand and laugh for love that’s at my door.

To sail upon the sea so blue, the sun so warm and bright,

To feel that warmth from deep inside that lasts throughout the night.

To swim in water clear as glass and soft as summer rain,

To think that here’s where beauty bounds, there is no more to gain.

To watch the palms that kiss the sky, the clouds that look like lace,

To say within your heart of hearts, I’ll never leave this place.

I Can Dream

I sit on the ground with my legs covered up in the cool, damp wonderful sand,

I watch as the tide rolls in towards me, like a beautiful watery hand.

The sun is on high and glitters upon the vast and wondrous sea,

like a window into the world beneath that is keeping its secrets from me.

To think of all the life below that thrives in Gods own fold,

how selfish we are to think that we’re the best that life can hold.

The sand is white, the sky is blue and the world seems full of calm,

The waterfall that roars to sea makes a breeze that kisses the palm.

I dive off the falls through the air fresh and clean, with an aim at the glimmering sea.

I feel like a sand pebble drifting along and the world seems to be one with me.

The coolness on my fingers, my arm and the satin on my face,

My body floats through a magical maze being held in a lovely embrace.

I come to the surface and breathe in the life that my lungs are delighted to greet, my heart beating fast as I come to the shore where my feet and the sand again meet.

So I sit on the ground with my legs covered up in the cool, damp wonderful sand,

And I watch as the tide rolls in towards me like a beautiful watery hand.

I can dream.

Let's Have Faith

Where is the moon that lights the night,

Where are the stars, they’re out of sight.

Where is the morning wet with dew,

Where is the sky that’s oh so blue?

Where is the sun that shines above,

Where is the world that’s full of love?

Where are these things, all out of view,

You’ll find them all inside of you.

The moon is full and oh so bright,

The stars, they twinkle in the night.

The morning dew is fresh and near,

The sun is up and shining bright,

The world will someday cease to fight.

The things you find all out of view,

You’ll find again with God in you.

Tomorrow

Sitting and watching the rain come down from the dark and dreary sky.

I try to think of lovely things to help the time go by.

The sun that shines, is hiding now behind the clouds so gray,

Tomorrow all the things will change and erase the gloom of today.

Tomorrow the grass will shine with dew and things will start to grow,

With beautiful springtime here at last, goodbye to all the snow.

The birds and leaves will start to grow on the branches of tall trees.

When evening comes, the stars appear to brighten up the night,

The pale moon floating high above gives splendor to the night.

The shadows of the evening bring a world that seems to change,

The things we see in darkness are so different and so strange.

So let it rain today with all its darkness and its sorrow,

For when we wake the sun will shine, for it will be tomorrow.

A Poem

A poem’s just a bunch of words that seem to fit in place,

Each upon the other with a time that fits the space.

A poem can be love or hate, romance and beauty too,

The rhyming comes from way down deep with what’s inside of you.

A poem can be sad or gay whichever mood you’re in,

It starts by sitting down to think just how you will begin.

A poem seems to write itself, the words just seem to flow,

And when it’s done, you feel the warmth that all your words bestow.

Shades of Night

The moon is full and shining through the trees that are so green,

The shadows that are cast below make such a wondrous scene.

The grays and blacks that lay below are upon the grass that’s grown,

Seem to give the impact that they have a life, their own.

As night passes, skies are hued with color of the morn,

And time is coming closer for the morning to born.

All the peace is shattered as the world begins to wake,

The rush and bustle, work and worry seem to be the stake.

When that happens, sit awhile and with your minds eyesight,

Just remember all the beauty, peace and love of night.
