We were young, when we first met
That day in the rain ill never forget
All the yellow flowers they grew
But who knew, oh who knew
I'm here, you said you'd stay
I don’t know why you had to go and go away
I let you in, you made me tall
now you’ve gone, im broken & never felt so small
We stayed for hours on swings
We sang of days to come
Oh you were just the thing
I needed. Just the thing I still do.
I wish you’d come back
As a thousand tiny heart strings start to snap
All the yellow flowers have lost their leaves
Floating down a river of tears in my dreams
I'm here, you said you'd stay
I don’t know why you had to go and go away
