The dark is full of missing dreams
Of lives lost and secrets kept
It is a shadow filled with tortured screams
And the home where fears have slept

From darkness chains of despair are wrought
Ensnaring the wings of the bright
Inside death's cold fist they are caught
Lost deep in an eternal night
