Where My Heart Has Been

I woke up this morning in the arms of someone new,
All I dreamed about and all I could think about is you.
Felt his warm breath soft upon my fragile skin,
Never has he asked, nor seemed to wonder where my heart has been.
He only kisses me tenderly and then with heated desire,
His lips soft and warm upon my flesh, ignites my body’s fire.
I feel want in his caresses, tender then becoming more wanton,
Though it may not be my heart, it is my body he has won.
Tonight I fall asleep in the arms of someone new,
Not once did I dream nor once even think about you.
Felt only his warmth and the lingering tingle upon my skin,
Never has he asked, nor seemed to wonder where my heart has been.
