What Makes A Good Leader?
Saranekha Saravanan
Everyone might want to become a leader, but do they have what it takes? What criteria make you a good leader or at least, seem like one? We're going to find out.
Number one, you need to always remember that the people are the key to success. A great leader will understand the people they are leading. They have to reason and find out the problem before making a decision. Instead of jumping into conclusions and make both parties unhappy. Listening is the key to become a great leader.
Next on the list is earn the respect, not demand it. Respect should be earned by the people you are leading. It is not given by force and that will develop conflicts and small quarrels. It won't give off a good impression.
Finally, you need to have faith and courage. You need to have the courage to talk and give commands to the group you will be leading and you need to have faith in them to do their job right.
It isn't easy to be a leader but it is easy to follow the leader. Remember, it takes one for the rest to follow. You have to follow others so that others follow you.
