Verse 1: A great man I never knew is someone that I adore
I’ve heard so many stories about this man but we’ve never met before.
Although we’ve had some close encounters we’ve never met face to face
You see it’s nearly impossible because he’s rests in eternal grace.
The image of this man I see in pictures and on TV although im not sure if that’s what’s real.
What I do know is he created you, he created me, he created the world, and he created freedom and peace.
Yeah, this man this wonderful man is known all throughout the world.
In Buddhism and Judaism, in Islam and Protestant, in Christianity and Catholic you see
we all know! We all know! We all know (hold three seconds) him..
We praise in honor and glory to his name
But like I said before we cant meet him now cause he’s rests in eternal grace
Chorus: I can’t go there not now no way cause im not allowed
It’s a club that I cant join; but yes I will some day
It’s life I cant live now cause im not headed that way
Yeah I may miss you but we cant see each other now

We tried some things that were dangerous and life just didn’t last
I never knew how precious life could really be

Im sorry for your loss, he’s in a better a place is what everyone had said
Truth was this sucks my friend is dead…I yearn for the day when I can see his face

I have so many questions and visions that are not clear
I guess I am just scared of what the future feels
