Towards Eternity
Shruti Chandra Gupta

Thou child of the eternal Mind,
In ignorance of thy power,
Sleeping in sweet slumbers, Wake!
Rise to thy mentor's call.

Thou whose power is unmatched,
When unleashed it destroys not,
But reveals thy unlimited ecstasy,
Beyond all human experience.

Thou wander endlessly, fearlessly,
And seem buried in the sky,
Stars seem thy ornaments,
O! Unperceivable, nameless joy.

Things which seem so deep,
Seem shallow now,
In this glow of eternal light,
Brighter and purer than the sun.

Here everything seems eternal,
Like thou, the blessed one,
The source of all the joy,
So deep and true.

But thou who know no bounds,
With all thy power and might,
Is still bound by life,
Homeless within a home.
