I slowly turn to madness whenever I get too happy,
And then my tears turn cynical like my point of view.
Who knew this was life, the way I planned it?
Cause the characters in this life, like me, are few.
A broken clock reads the correct time twice each day,
But can I correct the times that I’ve broken you?
Cause the ticking in my head blew all my plans,
And now the time has ended and the ticking’s through.
