The Soul Alone
Nothing is as pure as pain.
Spiritual disconnect, my soul is alone.
I hear only a moan,
Drifting in on the rain.
What does it mean?
We went to a star,
Our minds as one we came this far
Even as we did as teens.
Patiently waiting, I thought were we,
For love like none.
Why do you run?
Can you not see?
Through your tears, can you not hear,
My anguish? Iíve cried,
My lover has died.
My only desire is to you be near.
Upon my heart, a stain
Never to leave.
Please my love, give me reprieve.
I feel such pain.
Alone, I feel you sigh,
And it's me I know you love
As if sent from above
Do you feel itís a lie?
Destiny is cruel,
To send love at this time,
It can't be a crime,
Were we fools?
I think not, my dear,
I love you and cherish,
Our love shall never perish,
It now becomes clear.
So please can you now see,
How very much you mean
To me. Love unforseen
Can be love eternal. Let it be.
