Let’s be honest,
We both have made promises to people before we couldn’t keep,
And even those other people couldn’t keep their own,
So here I am going for it all,
This ring signifies my promise to you and us,
5ever and in the afterlife,
I believe in this so much I got my very first ring for someone and so early,
You don’t have to wear it every day but I know you will,
Your soul as pure as my thoughts for this idea,
Golden yellow bleeds through my overflowing heart,
One that will change your name to that thing beating,
Oh so heavily for you,
Your lips branded on my atria,
Receiving blessings and feelings that have never sunk this deep before,
Your love for me as well as others emblazoned in my brain,
Something as simple as hello stops my breath,
Pulchritudinous woman you know you are,
My heart beat might be slow, but it beats the hardest,
This is not temporary, this is a lifetime,
My ventricles carry out this golden yellow rush of emotion,
This loop of love we have created is something extraordinary,
We are not typical, but we are strong,
This bond, this faith, this soul power, this love,
Is something I first have to thank Him for,
And thank your parents for creating and raising such a perfect child,
And thank your past for pitting us together and teaching us both,
And last thank you for what you have done to/for me,
To cherish and hold dearly I promise,
Here I am in the flesh giving you this ring,
To show my appreciation, adoration, and much more for you,
I hope this never fails,
A broken promise with you is something I can’t bear witness too,
But I promise on my end these feelings are true and long lasting,
Build up, help out, and be by your side,
No matter what storms decide to come and wreak havoc,
I will be the man to protect you at all costs,
Intertwined with you and preparing for the future,
And yet, still enjoying the moment right now without worry,
I love you for who you are and what you do,
