It was just three o’clock when my friend Sherlock Holmes just called me to come to his house for some talking. I love to talk and I wonder what he wanted to talk about. So, around half past three I walked to Holmes house. His house was actually a mansion and I wonder how he even afforded this life. Maybe it was because of him being a detective and solves lots of cases and I was always his partner. I was a Doctor of surgeries and cancer along with bites such as dogs, snakes and a very knowledgeable about animals and their species. Once I reached his house I ring the doorbell and his servant, Mrs Houston, told me that he was in his study room and has been studying on something for hours and didn’t come down for lunch. Mrs Houston guided me to his studies and knocked on the door and told me to go in and she left. I opened the door to see that Holmes was smoking a pipe and I sat on the opposite of him and began reading a thin newspaper.
“I didn’t want to be rude, but I was just asked to a very challenging case and I have been doing some research. I thought that you could help me with this case because you’re my close friend and a right person for this because I certainly need a doctor for this case. It is because that Professor Pucks has some weird behaviour nowadays and it is getting worst and I need someone who knows lot about people,” he said after about several minutes. I thought about what he said and I asked to tell me more and he said, “Pucks was a Professor who taught a college called, Co7 Jumbo, the college of knowledge. He is 67 years old and has a daughter named Stefanie and his wife Alice. He was a healthy man and loves to eat carrot, but one day he went somewhere without telling anybody and came back after one week. He refuses to tell his wife or his daughter.” He paused to take a sip of tea that he has asked Mrs Houston to bring for us and he continued.
“After that trip he keeps on receiving random packages and some private letters in secret and one day his wife and daughter knew where he has been but didn’t know why has he been there and every nine days his behaviour change and he always drink something after the nine days and his behaviour would change and which is a bit strange and interesting at the same time,” he finally finished. I took some time to think when suddenly the doorbell rang and he said the person was just in time and went to the door to greet the person. Then he came back with a smart looking young guy in a suit. Then he introduces the guy as the name Bennett. “Oh well, maybe I could come back another time where we could talk in private,” said Mr Bennett. “Dr Watson is trustable Mr Bennett and he is helping me in this case,” said Holmes. Then Mr Bennett sat down on one of the chairs and said that two days ago he saw the Professor crawl but in unusual way.
“What is so unusual about the way he crawls?” I asked and he said that he was crawling on his hands and feet and not with his kneels or palm. That is very unusual and I never seen anyone crawl like that before at all. I thought that maybe the Professor is ill or maybe just having a bad day but Holmes has read my mind and said that doesn’t explain the dog. I asked him to tell me about the unusual dog he is referring to and he said “The Professor’s dog has been living with him for 36 years and the dog was very friendly and loved The Professor but then the dog has been trying to attack the Professor a few times in the couple of weeks. Mr Bennett and I have asked the vet to check the dog but she said that the dog was just fine and is only angry at something sense something unusual about the Professor.”
I tried to think all this over again but before I wanted to ask some more another person just rang the doorbell and Holmes said that he wasn’t expecting anyone at all. Just then a lady came crying into the room and ran to Mr Bennett and said that last night the Professor was staring at her from her bedroom window. Then Holmes asked what was wrong with that and she said that her bedroom was located to the second floor and there was no tree beside my room and there is no ladder in the house. I was stunned. How could that even be possible at all and beside it is too dangerous to climb a ladder or a tree. I wondering for a while when a man burst into the room and shoot everyone in the room and I grabbed Holmes and Mr Bennett and jumped out of the window and the lady jumped out to and we ran and ran and ran until my house and we hide and then Holmes immediately know who it is, “Jo,” he said in a whispering voice.
