U.S. President George Williams Patton Jefferson Trotsky Ringo is the first human being to be
conceived in a time-space warp. He receives telepathic messages constantly from several
universes, and from the past, present and future. He talks China into dismantling the
Omega Pin by giving the Chinese Premier a collection of Fuzzball Elvis audio cubes.
The President is, despite everything, a lovely dancer and loyal to his wife of 14 years,
Roberta (every other weekend she's "Robert").
And what of Nick Bonejuice? He arranges fights between supernatural creatures. However,
he refuses to believe simple, obvious things that most people take on faith -- that China exists,
for example. He has delayed the Apocalypse for years by making it impossible for God
and the Devil to agree to terms for the fight.
Nick travels in the same circles as the Right Reverend Joseph Timothy Damnation.
Reverend Damnation believes God, Jesus and Satan talk to him constantly -- and, surprise,
they do. He sees everything -- even brushing his teeth -- in a Biblical context with cross
references to half a dozen esteemed theologians. He is such a persuasive minister of the Lord,
he can, if he's had his morning coffee, talk anybody out of divorce, suicide or murder. Everything
he gets a cold, he raises the dead -- and I mean all the dead, in increasing circles of magical
influence included run-over squirrels, corpses rotting in coffins in the ground and that ant
you squashed by your toast this morning.
When last the dead walked, they got together and made plans. Soon they will find the
Omega Pin and pull it. And Nick Bonejuice will have one more fight to arrange.
