Lucy was young and was full of surprises, at least
that was what her parents thought. She hated the way
her mom would interrogate her every move.Lucy
especially hated the way her mother snooped
around her bedroom.
She may have been a teenage girl but to her she was a grown
woman who did not like her parents governing her
decision making.Lucy wanted to be in control of
everything that she did.She wondered why her
parents were so strict,or why they would say that
she could not do the things she loved to do with
her friends.
Lucy did not enjoy being shoved around by her
parents especially now when she was at the stage
in her life when to her she could decide upon
her own choices and did not need to be told
what to do.
'Lucy are you ready for school,'her mother yelled out
from below the stairs.'I don't wanna go to school
today mom,'a grumpy Lucy had said. Her mom did not
accept truancy comingfrom her daughter.Just then
Lucy's mom began to fume. She was tired of
tweedling her thumbs and lashing at Lucy to get
ready for school. With everything that Lucy and
her mom had been through there was no telling
when Lucy would begin showing interest in
her school.Poor Mrs Gretchen, she was failimg
everyday at the slightest attempts she made
to give her daughter what was best for her
She was trying really hard to ensure that
Lucy did not become a sucker for peer- pressure.
When everything began going right, then Lucy had
lost her dad in a plane crash. That's when she
began to change. She was not making any progress back then
and still things seem to be getting worse.
Lucy you have to go to school,a sympathising
mother told her daughter.Mom school sucks, and
you know i do not like gym class.Lucy was tired
of going over her like and dislikes with
her mom,and now more than ever she hated
telling her mom why she disapproved of school
that one particular day.Mrs Gretchen has a
meeting with the red cross society and
did not want to cancel. She had to go to lunch
with a volunteer for the red cross society
and she had a grumpy daughter , that did not even care to
unlock her room to speak to her mom.Her mom
felt like running away. Was it really a time to
give her daughter a really long speech
,or did she just have to walk away and deal
with the problem later. She was bruised with dull
ideas .
It was now eight-thirty and Lucy had sank her face even deeper
into her pillow.she was firm on her decision
no one would make her do sometihing that she
did not want to do.At her age she was the boss
not her mother , or her grandmother
and although her peers would be at school that
day Lucy refuse to go to school because
she hated gym class.Lucy was thinking long and
and when her mom began pouring out her heart to her daughter
Lucy felt the way her mom felt
Lucy, her mom called out please open the door,i
know tha you're not happy about school
but sweetie maybe we can work somthing out
I have a very busy schedule today and i am
running out of time,i will be late
please come i shall take you to school and
you can just skip gym class
Her mom was not happy with the words she had
spoken but at this point her daughter's
academics was more important to her that
exercising.Lucy slowly came out of the room,in a
rush and with her mom's help she got everything
together and got in the vehicle without a full
throttle.
