The Magic Wish Star
Kathy R Swartz

Jen was very happy to be in kindergarden. She loved to be with other children. You see, Jen had no brother or sister at home to play with.

More than anything Jen wanted a new baby for her family. A baby brother would be especially great. Jen asked her mom and dad if they could get a baby for their family.
Her mom and dad were not sure if they should. They helped Jen with many things. Mom & dad helped Jen get dressed, tie her shoes, pick up toys, and clean up her plate at dinner time.
Each night after mom and dad tucked Jen into bed and kissed her good night, she would tip toe over to the window gaze up at the stars and sing:

The magic wish star shines so bright.
Please grant me a special wish tonight!

The next morning when Jen woke up she got dressed all by herself! Not to long after that she was tying her own shoes. Still every night Jen crepted over to the window, gazed up at the stars and sang:

The magic wish star shines so bright.
Please grant me a special wish tonight!

Soon mom and dad noticed Jen picking up her toys, and cleaning up her plate at dinner without even being told to. They were so proud of their big school girl!

One week before Christmas Jen's mom said "It's time!". On that very day mom had TWO babies. Twin brothers for Jen!

That night when Jen gazed up at the stars she sang:

The magic wish star shines so bright.
Thank you for granting my special wish
tonight!

The End
