"Steff says that there's an island that only the natives are allowed on. So, we figured that you could go on it," I told Heather. We knew she was born in Hawaii, but lived there just a few months.

"I don't think so," Heather answered.

"But you have the same blood running through your veins," Steff commented, pointing at her wrist.

I made like I cut my arm. "It's yours, bitch!" I said, mocking Heather. A couple people around us started laughing at the inside joke.

"What the hell?" Heather said."I regret saying that in the first place. I'm never going say stuff like that agian."

"You know we love you, though," I gasped.

"I'm never telling you, again. Ever. Bitch." Heather mumbled under her breath as she glared at me. "So what's happening Sunday?" she said to change the subject.

My laughing died as I thought about it. "I pick y'all up Saturday after work then go to the movies Sunday," I answered.

"Yeah, but we have to pay for you." Bitterness laced Steff's tone, but we knew that she was just kidding.

"Fine, I don't have to go, bitch-" Heather noticed the teacher lingering, "-taki mushrooms." Again, everyone but Heather laughed as the teacher walked away.

All of a sudden, a familiar voice yelled, "Dani, how many wives to you expect to have?" from a near by table. Another burst of laughter erupted around us.

"Just one, Jodi Foster!" She yelled back, only after turning an interesting shade of red. She laughed with the rest of us and pushed her glasses farther up her nose.

"Speaking of which, Steff, where is she?" Dani pointed accusingly at Steff.

"I can't get her for you 'cause she's ugly," she replied.

"She is not! She's a piece of art in herself!" Dani went on, ranting about how 'unugly' Jodi Foster was.

"Well, you're stupid," Steff said and procceeded to ignore Dani.

Just then, Julie walked by.

"Hey, Jew," Steff called her by her pet name. "Come'ere."

"What?" Jew said as she approached.

"You wanna see "Deja Vu" with us?" Steff asked.

"When?"

"Sunday," I answered.

"Yeah, but I have to be back by five. I gotta go to work," Jew said.

"I gotta be out of Molalla by 4:30 for square dancing, so don't worry," I responded. "I'll pick you up, I'll need your adress.

"It's okay, I'll drive myself," she said, "Can we meet somewhere?"

"Yeah, how 'bout the library?" Steff asked.

"Okay," Jew answered.

"I'll look up times and call you," I told her.

"And email me," Steff said to me.

"Yeah."

The bell rang just then, telling us lunch was over. Everyone stood up and gathered their bookbags.

"So, where're you goin'?" Heather asked.

"Same place as you," Steff and I chimed at the same time.

"Shut up, hos," She said as we laughed at her. We procceeded to go to fourth period.
