The Eyes Of God
Janae D Anthony

The eyes of God are watching you, as some of you well know
He sees all the little things you do, and everywhere you go

He can see you in the morning, noon, evening, late at night
He sees the things that you do wrong, and sees when you do right

He sees you when your lonely, He sees you when your sad
He sees the things that you do good, He see's the things that's bad

He sees you when you start a fight, He sees when you spread love
He sees you when He looks below the heavens from above

He sees you when you laugh and smile, He's see you when you cry
He sees you when you tell the truth, and when you tell a lie

He sees you when you take a walk, He sees you when you run
He sees you when your very bored, He sees when you have fun

He sees you when you're wide awake, and even when you sleep
For He's the shepherd of the land, and you are all his sheep

You see my friend you cannot hide, from everything you do
So don't do evil, just do right, For God is watching you

"Wonderfully inspiring. Keep it up!" -- Crazy Clown.
"You better watch out You better not cry Better not pout I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town He's making a list And checking it twice; Gonna find out Who's naughty and nice Santa Claus is coming to town He sees you when you're sleeping He knows when you're awake He knows if you've been bad or good So be good for goodness sake! O! You better watch out! You better not cry Better not pout I'm telling you why Santa Claus is coming to town Santa Claus is coming to town " -- Tyrant.
"Very good tyrant, I see your point, but I don't believe in Santa Clause, do you?... but thank you for your review." -- author.
"I agree with Tyrant! I just didnt want to admit I actually made that connection! That poem disturbs me more than anything!" -- Meg.
"Oh goodness....excuse all the exclamation points...dont mean to be too excited." -- Meg.
"Meg, if this poem disturbed you then I know that it has gotten to you, I agnored the exclamination points, but I truly appreciate your comments. Thank!!" -- Author.
"Not to be rude, but dont compliment yourself so quickly. I said it was disturbing because evidently you find it a good thing to believe that God is watching you...like "Santa" as Tyrant said...As if he is just waiting for you to screw up. You can believe it "affected" me if you like, but I basically viewed it with dismay and dislike. " -- Meg.
"Meg, once again I thank you for your review, and you are entitled, ( just as Tyrant and everyone else who view my work) to your own opinions. I'm glad God is watching me, not just to see when I screw up, He sees me when I'm sick and heals me, He sees me when I'm broke and feeds me, He sees me when I'm down and comforts me. Besides it sure beats the hell out of Santa Clause" -- Author.
"Well the way I see it, the Church beats the "hell" out of anything and anyone. Pun intended. (Certainly not in support of the Church, for those of you who dont catch on as quickly.) Sorry to take up your review space but I felt the need to comment." -- Meg.
"If what you wrote was an expression of what was truly in your heart, then thats all that really matters, the author of this universe will undoubtedly applaud you, as do I. The expression of faith in poetry has always angered agnostics, atheist and most critics. Don't be discouraged by negative people." -- Monte.
"Monte, I am most grateful for you kind review" -- author.
