TAROT MAGIC

Echos of his footsteps fade to nothing
As her heartbeat becomes louder.
His last words scream in her mind
As she envisions her life flow ebbing.

The beginning of the ending is
One small misstep, not seen
In the big scheme of life. One
Lost love and a heart seeking

Happiness and direction.
Understanding of the universe
And her own world. One moment
In time and all seems clear.

Tarot cards unlock the
Mysteries of life. The past
And future become certain.
Confidence gained from a crutch.

But like a mirage in the
Desert, the crutchs appearance
Is an illusion, leading her steps
In the wrong direction.

She uses her Tarot Magic to
Foretell the future, turning deaf
Ears to her inner voice
Murmuring sounds of deception.

Time after time the Tarots
Falseness is clouded by
Readings that appear true.
She turns a blind eye to friends

That are genuine, thinking
Them false. She turns her heart
To a friend that appears
Real, and is deceit.

The aura of the
Tarot Magic dimming her
Intuition. She sees only
What she wants to believe.

Giddy from happiness
And a promise of lifelong
Passion, she allows darkness
To descend on her body.

His death sentence delivered
With a careless laugh.
She lies supine realizing, too late,
Her embrace of the Tarot Magic

And the silencing of her
Inner voice was the
Start of the decline and
Ebbing away of her life flow.
