Sanguinary R Bennett Okerstrom
As darkness envelopes
All that is the landscape,
I emerge through shadows
Laden with sang-froid.
A salacious need to feed
Overwhelms me. Engulfs me.
Drives me to the edge of sanguinary
That haunts this wretched place.
I stalk. Creeping through obscurity.
I am the cold chill
On the back of your neck.
The flicker of the candles flame.
No soul to speak of,
Predestined eternal damnation.
Living only by the light of the moon,
Only by carnal desecration.
I feel your pulse floating on the midnight air.
I smell your life.
Your soul.
Despair.
I watch you walk on dim lit streets.
I sense your fear.
Rapid heartbeats.
To take you now
Would lack in pleasure.
For weeks youve been
My sole endeavor.
Ive watched and pondered
Contemplation.
Ive dwelled and wondered
Transformation.
For you that would be far too evil.
Youve faced your demons.
Youve paid your dues.
For now theyll hold a midnight vigil.
No more breathing.
You cant refuse.
