Relationship....does anyone really know how to act in one? Were we ever really taught how to play a role in one? Just the word alone could be a good or bad thing. First lets spell it out....relation - ship, that right there should be a warning sign, your on a ship that could create good times, scary times, definetely unforgetable times...and in the end someone might go overboard! The bad thing is that we are our own captains...never really taught how to drive one...some go off of a map and think it over before sailing out in the vass blue. Some go with a gut feeling, never really knowing how to steer but just going with the flow. In a relationship its all about who conforms the most, who brought what to the "table" of this relationship, and who is going to give 110%. I guess the odds are pretty good your going to wreck this ship the 1st couple of times...pieces are going to fall off, but there is always a wrecker ship that comes along picks up those pieces and builds a yacht! There should be warning signs for these trips we take with the other person....like "rough waters ahead" ...slow down for the "wake zone", "falling rocks" etc. Who is to say there is not...maybe these "red flags" are there but we are blind to them in the beginning...cause we are so excited to even be on a get-away with the one we are so adimite about. Some ships might be so clean and shiny to the eye, but when the ship is taken out of the water there is so much algae on the bottom that no one ever thought to clean that too! We all want to be in one...even those who say never! Who doesnt want to be wanted? Are you going to get hurt...probably, are you going to be happy....hopefully, are you going to learn for the next go around....definetely! There are some people that don't believe in the "The ONE!"....maybe its true, or maybe there are lots of people out there for you. I dont have a 100% answer for that...all I know is that once you meet somone and you can't picture anyone else you would want more to be with, well then thats "THE ONE!" I do however believe for that moment of time...might be brief or it might be long..."THE ONE" is there for a reason...to hold you back from something you might have done if they werent around...or maybe they are there for you to learn from...maybe to be more outgoing, maybe to not drink as much and to stay at home, maybe to learn how to save money, but for those who didnt stay around to the end...they were still important! I guess relationships are a key importance to our lives! Its like putting your life into somone elses hands...you have to learn every move they make to ensure that they don't "drop you" and cause great harm. You can never be sure that the person you love so much loves you the exact same. How do we deal with that? How do we overcome knowing that you love that person so much more than they love you? I guess relationships are the single most important thing in life....jobs come and go, yeah they pay well but who do you bitch about them to at the end of the day and really get a comforting response? Relationships are ever changing...some better than others, but its really up to you how and where you want that ship to sail!
