Please Don't Keep Me Here
When I pass you I still blush,
But when no one's looking I will cry,
'Cause the guy I used to know and love,
Is just using his charm to get by.
I've seen you go down the wrong path,
And there are so many things now I hate,
And the more it seems I try to figure you out,
The more you yearn to change.
This past year has been difficult,
I've lost myself in you,
And even though I still love you,
It's not something I choose to do.
Your dark side is always out there,
Things you do like drugs - a dangerous line,
I wish there was a way I could stop you,
But found I can't rely on time.
You never really cared even a little,
About this girl that seems to stay,
I cry for you every single night,
You change so much, worse, each day.
Why do I love you, why do I stick around,
Stop being like this and let me leave,
Maybe you're addicted to the drugs you do now,
But your the thing that's addicting for me.
Please take them back,
All the things in you I fear,
Do whatever you want, my love,
But please don't keep me here.
You've turned into someone different,
Somebody that cannot be touched,
I still love you and I hate it,
Because I don't like you very much.
