All the late night alibis,
Was I to believe the lies?
I guess you never knew me,
Only the truth sets us free.
Just pieces of time,
Always put at the end of the line.
I don’t believe in you,
Nothing you said was ever true.
So there is nothing left to say,
All I need is for you to go away.
I need to cry,
Leave me to learn to fly.
Just pieces of time,
Sipped like bitter wine.
No point of rescue,
No love in my heart for you.
I have forgotten how to feel,
Forgotten what’s even real.
All my life has been just a lie,
Wonder if I’ll ever learn to fly.
Just pieces of time,
Words written to rhyme.
Nothing to believe in,
Past time to be leaving.
