Night In Antigua
D G Williford

I picked up my walking stick and turned around

Why were they chasing me?
I told them that I was of no use
to their tribe I was a young warrior that did not even
know how to properly use a bow
What did they want of me?

The big one, Trakius, son of Montiva, wanted me, I could tell.
I would sleep with one eye open tonight.

His long blonde beard and piercing eyes told me everything
I didnt want to know but I had a secret.

Trakius wanted to be king and he knew that the War of the Zentaziis would tell all.

He sheathed his sword and a sword it was the finest platinum and gold combined and blessed by the revered witch, Brianna.

Trakius knelt before an altar of sheepskin, incense and ore and prayed to his God.

He must accomplish this task He must defeat his father Montiva at any cost.

I knelt before the fire along with many others that were captured in Antigua and prayed to fit in.

I knew that before sunrise, there would be an uprising.
There would be huge percussions and mayhem of proportions
that anyone in this century would not soon forget.
