My Three Loves
Richard Koss

My three loves - music, books and women
Not necessarily in that order
And though some were lost, all is forgiven
Buried among lifeís bricks and mortar

Donít take my classics, jazz and show tunes
Let me keep old rock and roll
Theyíll still remain long past the new moons
Unlike rap, hip-hop and soul

If only my tired blue eyes would last
Iíd read all night, from Keats to Poe
And let the great works of the past
Deliver me from each dayís woe

Though marriage would only be a bore
I miss scent Le Femme, much like a hound
But Iíve been married twice before
So letís just be friends and fool around
