I look back for a miss stepped past.
Forgettable memories, blown away so fast.
A tentative future is all I know.
I ride the high of an all-time low.
Breaking even on a broken heart.
Delaying jumps of a spring to start.
A mind complicates the 'what is fair?'
My heart won't know, your heart won't care.
The beauty of words strewn across a silent sea.
And a whispering wind of what's not to be.
I leave this love to a cruel handed fate.
A gamblers chance on a reward so great.
Endless possibilities of a terrified mind.
And a life's unfortunate inability to rewind.
