DESCRIPTION
It's not really a poem about breakups, although initially it would seems so. It's about more than that - interpersonal relationships falling apart, as well as a minor metaphor for the world at large.

T J Rintoull

So I take it you are leaving
And there's nothing I can say
Doesn't matter what you're losing
That the world is falling down around your head

So we fake it
And we make it seem
As if you're gonna stay
But I know
You're leaving me
Here

So it's all coming down
To nothing
And the world is breaking down
Into nothing
So we break up
And make our stories fit into an end
Till there's nothing and there's no one
Left

So at least you're feeding no-one
And you call it charity
Another table full of losing
If you're looking in the shadows I'll be there

So it's all coming down
To nothing
And the world is breaking down my love
Into nothing
And we break up
And make our stories fit into an end
Till there's nothing and there's no one
Left

So they wake up
And they make it seem as it if it's a new year
But there's nothing and there's no-one
Here
So they break up
And they make it seem as if it's gonna end
Till there's nothing and there's no-one
Left
