Is It Still Today?
Skyler Drevan

When will this day ever end?

I cannot take the sun anymore

This is not the way to live

What was the meaning of the flurries of snow and fog?

This is April, am I dreaming?

When will sun go finally go away?

Hmm, is there a light at the end of my hall?

Oh no itís the fridge

My dad is up

Great! This is all I need now

He will pester me until I explode

He loves it when he bothers me

I need to escape but there is no way

I am stuck in this immortal hell

I feel like my insides are being overcome with black smog

I cannot see my future

But I know that there is one for me

I know that I will become

I will be, I will know

But when will the light shine finally?

I graduate in June but I am a fool

Do I deserve this?

Where will this degree take me?

This paper, this tree with words

What does it mean to me?

Oh no here is dad

He always asks stupid questions of me

Like when will I be happy?

I am happy, I am

I am just lost

But when I am found

I will disappear

I will be my own person

An adult

I will be, I will know

Oh God is it still today?
