Friends Are Forever
Adriana Garcia

Friends are the persons you trust, and give all your special love for having a good relationship, and passing the most wonderful days of your life. Friends are another meaning for happiness, joy, company, advises, and a big help always beside you. The word friends makes me remember of my best friend Adriana; the person I love and that I could give my life for always having her by my side.

Things were working very well; when I was 9 years old I passed the most wonderful days Ive ever lived. Every day I went to my friends house, to play like every kid. We played with dolls, Barbies, and when we were very bored we drew pictures. We liked a lot to play sports; many days after school we played with her old, big, red bike. One afternoon the tow of us got on the bike. We were very happy and going very fast, when suddenly the wheel exploded. We got very scared but we laughed as if it was this big joke that made us cry. We even played with our roller skates and thought we went faster than light. I also remember the sleepovers where we told each other our most valuable secrets, and as best friends nobody knew about them. We even made and had lots of adventures like playing hide and seek, tag, and how to forget the day we were in her house playing blind mans bluff and we broke her mothers closet. They were fantastic days I wont ever forget, and every memory means a lot to me since you never know when you can loose a friend.

Now I am 13 years old, and we are still best friends; but games tarted changing. Except for playing dolls, we still every afternoon in her window and talk about guys while we eat and listen to music. We help each other with homework, like correcting English stories, and with problems that make us feel very bad. Problems where many times we said we would like to die, but with the good advises, we went on and continue happily with our life. Her smile every morning made me very happy, and cheered me up to continue working hard, just like her. Her good examples made life easier, so I tried to follow them but I couldnt; I wanted to be just like her. Life seems so easy for her, she loves it and thats something special I like a lot about her. When she cries sometimes I cry to, we seemed to be so connected that we never knew that one day our hearts would brake, and that I wouldnt see her smile for days, and hear her funny laugh that cheered me up in the days of my life.

A very happy morning at school, I was talking with some friends and she never showed up. I was very calm since I knew and thought she was sick like always. That day I went with my class to the club, to have fun and make the class more united. I had so much fun, I said to the class it had been the best day of my life and that we should repeat it again. Finally, at one forty-five we arrived to school; we stayed with our friends and talked about it. Everybody looked so sad that I knew something was wrong. A strange boy we used to bother came to me. He was very nervous and told me if I knew something about Adriana Calero, but I said no. He told me:

This morning when she was coming to school she never showed up.

My heart stopped, I felt a huge cold in my whole body, butterflies in my stomach, and my head very dizzy. How can my best friend disappear? In a while, my sisters best friends hugged me, I felt strange since they were also crying. They brought me water, but nothing helped to calm me. They told me that Adriana was coming with two other students, and a college boy. I got more scared, but I heard what was going on. They told me that Adriana, Juliana, Carlos, and Santiago had been kidnapped. The only thing I can remember is a big scream going NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOO! All the students and the college boy that were kidnapped were from my condominium. I was so sad, I just couldnt stop crying and trying to imagine the situation.

Is the hardest feeling I have ever felt in all my life. There has been 15 days with out Adriana, this famous girl that made many hearts shine, and made my life tha happiest one. Every day I go to visit her mom, to talk and give her hope. Is very hard to hide this pain that is killing me every day that passes with out her golden heart. I know life has to go on, but is not fair to take a kids mind, heart, and liberty. They have dreams that every day they fight for them, but how can the work them out if they are tied up to this world, that is killing our lives in little by little.

Things have not changed the sad feeling has not gone out. Its like living in this closed dark room that I am scared to get out. I need her help, and her life to come back and take me out fast from this black room, that is taking away my good feeling of living. As a good friend I would wait for her no matter what, but that I hope she would always remember that they can take us the liberty but never our hopes, dreams, and whishes.

Adriana I really miss you, I am just waiting you, on our houses where we passed our most treasured moments in life. We are all praying hard to end this nightmare that is affecting all of us.

"What's wonderful about it is it utilized colloquial english. Like a jigsaw puzzle, it put a fact of life in a new perspective. And the title rocks, too!" -- Abi, Pembroke Pines, Florida, USA.
"I really related to the story on a far less serious note. I just started college, and I do not get to see my best friends like I usually did. This story reminds me that my friends are the best thing in my life and I should not take my time with them for granite. Thanks for reminding me of my friends." -- Vince, Normal, Illinois, United States.
"What a good essay. It was very interesting and emotional. I know what a wonderful feeling it is to have that best friend with you and the joy they bring in to your life. Even if you fight or have and argument no matter what happens their is this special bond between the two of you. Having a friend makes life seem so much brighter. " -- Jessica Conroy, Blommington, IL.
"The essay really made me feel the authors emotions and feelings. I almost feel like I even knew her." -- Lindsay Rae Rucks, Normal, Illinois, USA.
"Check your spelling and grammar. Try to stay away from words that you keep repeating. Break your thoughts up into more paragraphs. To have it make more sense to the reader explain in more depth what is going on and what you mean. Watch your tenses. Make sure everything is either past or present. Go back and re-read the essay slowly, and try to find some mistakes. It usually really helps. Use better transitions from paragraph to paragraph, especially after you break them up more. Think about who your audience is, who you think will be reading your essay and make sure everything is understandable to that person, or type of people. Does your title fit with the story?" -- Sara Smado, Normal, Illinois, United States.
"This essay was very touching to me. I think that a lot of people who do read this, they will relate to it in some way. Everyone needs someone and that is what this author is trying to tell his/her readers. She has a few grammatical errors and needs to review it over again, but for the most part I think that it is a touching and compelling essay, let alone very well written. " -- Danah M.Durocher, Normal, IL, McLean.
"i truly believe that there is a friend out there for each and everyone of us. its just that you have to search for that person. i mean we all have friends but did you ever stop to think about what your friends meant to you. or why they were around. we have to have someone that we can trust, but if there is really no one that we can trust then maybe we dont need friends and just trust in ourselves. i mean there are occasionally people that you can trust everywhere that you go,but u cant find that special friend not unless you go out and search for them." -- Tia.
"ciao, no se si eres Adriana que estudio en Valencia si es as podras leer esto y escribirme. un saludo" -- bernabe, valencia, spain.
"ita all bull shit with lot of grammer mistake" -- suren.
