She's oblivious and thinks I'm old,
Bold I was and bold I stay.
Play my song of broken dreams that says,
"Seems I always miss too much."
Such as her hand upon my skin
Leaving a scorch mark where it has been.
And she laughs and doesn't say...
And I laugh and I don't say...
That we both know she'll never stay.
But for now, we'll just pretend.
