Eternal Heartache

This is a tale that must be told to those of you that may be
interested in my past, my history, and why I write like this.
I am very educated, but I have become so vulnurable to
emotions because of this event. This is one of the biggest
tragedies that have occured in my life.
When I was still in Middle School, I went to Las Vegas for my
13th birthday with my family. My cousins and I went to some
ESPN place and played sport games and some shooting
games. Before that, we all went to this show called "Knights
of the Round Table." Then again, it might have been around
the lines of that title, so I'm not very certain. We got to eat
yummy meat and bread... but there were no utencils. I
WANTED UTENCILS!!! Oh well. Anyways, my cousins, my aunt,
and I went to look around in the big hotel. We were staying
at one of those epic big hotels that had practically casinos,
arcades, resturants, pools, and everything else everywhere.
We stopped by at this place that was selling magic tricks
stuff. So we all bought some that were two fake thumbs that
when you slipped your thumb in it, you could press on the
inside and a little red light would appear so you could be
"playing catch with yourself."
Afterwards, I was tired and I went up to my room. My mom
was there and I asked if I could use her computer. She said
yes and I decided to make a song on Garageband. After about
fifteen minutes or so, my mom got a phone call. She started
to somewhat freak out, starting to tear a bit and put the
laptop computer screen down gently. I walked over to her and
sat on her lap, holding onto her softly, not knowing of what
was going on. Until after five minutes or so, my cousins and my
aunt came into the room, crying.
My father came in and my other relatives, all of which were
crying. There was only one person missing, my grandfather.
At that point, I had realized that he had passed away. I, in the
entire room, was not crying. I did not need to hold it in as this
just surprised me. How could my grandpa be dead? He's so
full of energy to me and was so playful. We would always play
Chinese Checkers with the family when we went over to
grandma's house or to our condo at Rehobeth Beach (Which
I'm still confused as to which state it's in).
A funeral was planned on that day that in a month after my
return to school that we would head back to Washington D.C
and pay our respects, listen to a long speech, while standing
in the cold for about three hours or so. But while we were almost
going to touch down in San Francisco in the airplan at night,
I saw something dazzling in the sky. I saw for the first time in
my life, a shooting star. It looked like a hellfire blaze of
channeled fire, burning with such spirit. So somewhere up
in the heavens, or some scientific heavens, my grandpa lives
on.
Almost every night, I mourn softly to myself of my deepest
loss. The pillows I lay my head upon become soaked with my
tears of grief. But they are not just tears of grief. They are also
tears of happiness. Happiness, that's what it is, that my grandpa
is still alive somewhere out there. Maybe in another dimention,
in a heaven, in one of the Planes, or just somewhere nice. But
we all know one place where he will always live on, and that place
is in our hearts.
Love doesn't die, only people do.
