Devil in the eyes of the night
Rising up in the morning
Having coffee and saying good-bye
In the city, deep in the city
Working hard for the cash
Waiting for the night to fall
You better watch your ass
Just a stab in the moonlight
Another twist in the dark
Sold his soul forever
And now he's leaving his mark
Well the law couldn't stop
What the victims, they fed
The streets of the city
Flowed, blood red
The anger grew in a troubled mind
Scenes were taped in yellow bowties
In the alleys, back in the alleys
No one could hear you scream
Circled twice, the knot is tied
He's living on twisted dreams
Just a stab in the moonlight
Another twist in the dark
Sold his soul forever
And now he's leaving his mark

But the joy is getting too big
Carelessness and godliness
