Confessing The State
A poem about the state of our home.
Confessing The State
Confessing the State
it's time for my confession -
i have these weird obsessions
if you could be crazy in my dreams,
could you be sane
enough to handle the picture;
the one so grand
i think it's the one i showed you the other day,
the one in the sand.
this place has so much coming to it;
so little behind it.
the people on board; its passengers of life,
seem satisfied in destroying any repair
it's as if they'd rather see it die.
but then, where would we be?
this is the question people try to answer;
they starve themselves for it.
we have to look at these facts.
we have to acknowledge these questions.
this song is being sung
from an average one
if i had more than this verse,
more than hope.
i'd probably get more done.
or at least, i'd try to; to be more
than an average one
