Living in the slums of Africa.

Walking to school with no shoes and the same clothes you been wearing for two weeks.
Can you imagine, can you only imagine.
Not eating for days and scared to go to sleep.
Can you imagine no parents to care for you.
Growing up with no one being there for you.
Can you imagine being eight years old and caring for three little ones on your own.
I cant imagine, what that life is like.
Because I got clothes, and food, and a warm bed to sleep in every night.
Chorus: Can you please save the children across the world.
Can you feed the children who were born at deaths front door.
You can save the children across the seas.
I know you can give a child a chance for life, if you give up your greed.
Come on now they need you and you need me.
Verse 2: Abandoned at birth and left out in the cold.
Parents died of AIDS last year but no one even knows.
Sick and hungry and cant do one thing.
Come on now, call us up and make those children part of your family.
Their scared of the rebels who take them out of their home.
Scared to become child soldiers, and scared to be alone.
Their scared of being sold from place to place.
Their scared to be returned and be a disgrace.
Can you imagine a life like this, can you only imagine a place like that.
Living in a tiny wooden shack or living in a home made out of mud and garbage bags.
Living in a country that has no good jobs.
Living in a place that is beginning to die out.
America-the greatest country, the greatest place.
But to those children, America does not exist to this day.

Verse 3: Look at their faces, look at these faces of innocences.
Whose only problem is they were born poor and sick.
Look into their eyes can you tell them just a word of hope.
Or maybe a little advice-you could say everything will be alright.
