An Unforgetfull Event.

It was about 2 am when I heard a noise in the kitchen. I knew it couldn't be my mum because my parents are on a business trip to Canada. It couldn't be my brother as well because he is on a field trip to Scotland. So who could it be?
I curiously got out of bed and crept to the stairs. I could hear footsteps running around from the kitchen to the living room. That was when it hit me. Was I being robbed?
I quietly ran back up the stairs and looked for my dad's Swiss Army Knife. My room was dark because I was too scared to turn on the lights. After approximately 2 minutes of searching around for it, I eventually found it in the drawer under my alarm clock.
I was about to go back downstairs and stabbed them in the leg when my phone rang. I panicked when I heard the heavy footsteps run up the stairs. I grabbed my phone in my left hand and the knife in the other and ran to the closet.
I sat there as quiet as possible when I heard my bedroom door creaked open. I was terrified and needed to shriek, but I stayed calm. I detected the footsteps getting closer and closer until the closet door flung open. I was shocked to see that it wasn't the robbers. It was my best friends Kookie.
I asked him what happened and how he found me. He explained that he called me and I didn't pick up. So he figured out something was wrong and drove to my house. When he arrived, he saw two masked men robbing my house and tackled them down. He called the police and came to my room to find me.
I was so thankful for him to show up at the right moment. Later that night, I called my parents and told them the news. They were petrified and promised to come back soon. In the meantime, I stayed at Kookie's house with his parents. Well, that would be one event I will never forget.
