A Tear
Luis Felipe Moura

A tear falls.
Warming its way down.
Following a known path.
Where many have gone before.

A tear screams.
Words find their way.
Cutting the air of the night.
Yet they are only silent moist.

A tear burns.
From throat to heart.
And from there it soars.
Bright as the heat of stars.

A tear hides.
A smile it becomes.
Another promise heard.
Waiting to become void again.

A tear knows.
It remembers why.
Broken words wont hurt
So much as a broken heart.

A tear calls.
Echoing to the wind.
Hoping only to be heard
That love will take it home.
