A Man Without Need Wagner
With every day that passes
Another piece will fall
To the dirty rusted ground
To forever be missed by all
Without a hand to lend
No choices left to make
I kneel by my bed
And pray for my grandpa’s sake
Lying in a hospital bed
Two years left to hold
I stand by his side
And tell myself “he’s not that old”
But we cannot give up
For he has so much to give
He offers a life of wisdom
But my wisdom wants him to live
The tears I cry
For family that doesn’t know
Fall from my eyes
Like leaves from a hollow
An open book for all to read
Soon to be published in deed
A novel for our breed
A man without need
