A Broken Man Mike Piotrowski At the end of the day, When everything is quiet, And no end is visible, Drowned in soul and spirit, Frozen to the ground, Heavyhearted, In stillness he stands, With glazed over eyes, Thinking of forever lasting nights, And a day that will never come, A slight smile appears, As he fastens the rope, Closing his restless eyes, Flashes of a broken man, Silently swaying, At the end of the day, When everything is quiet,
