Bitter Tears Geneva Keith
Lost one, though you be younger than your years;
I always thought you'd make it through, as you live out your fears.
I didn't see the blue skies, turn to grey;
Bitter tears, they streak my heart today.
Did changes come so suttle, I couldn't see;
Did I close my eyes, is that what blinded me.
Today I see so clearly, The darkness hover by;
Could I have stopped you, If I'd opened up my eyes.
Bitter tears, they streak my heart, hope someday they will depart;
Raging river come, take them out to sea.
Stormy winds that blinded my minds eye, that I couldn't see;
The shifting sand, benieth your feet, that you would only leave.
I didn't know a gentle breeze could turn out so strong;
Turn to a raging storm, before it moves on.
A raging storm of death, that comes for our children;
It took your life, before I felt, the winds had begun to blow.
Lord I know there's others, just like me;
All wrapped up in their own lives, they don't see.
Show them how the darkness dwells, within this world today;
So bitter tears, won't have to fall that day.
Bitter tears, they streak my heart, hope someday they will depart;
Raging river come, take them out to sea.
Stormy winds that blinded my minds eye, that I couldn't see;
The shifting sand, benieth your feet, that you would only leave.
Bitter tears, they streak my heart like rain, I don't want to feel this pain;
Storm of changes come, blow them all away.
Whisper winds that ease a troubled mind, our world's in need today;
Help guide our children, on their long, long way.
