There's Still An Angel Left In You Tim D Ryan
Theres Still An Angel Left In You
Somewhere I know Ill see those eyes again,
Though probably not in the same tone or,
In the best of scenarios.
And I, tried so long to get accustomed,
But its something I cant get used to.
Its just, that some days I was unsure,
If youd ever wake, or keep breathing.
So I proclaimed my worst fears to you in your sleep,
And I was sure you werent listening.
Then again, I was the one always wrong.
And I swear theres an angel in here somewhere,
We just havent gone deep enough.
I know youd say youd turn me in, without a second,
A second of thought,
But youve been stuttering for several now.
And I, tried so long to get accustomed,
But its something I cant get used to.
Its just, that some days I was unsure,
If youd ever wake, or keep breathing.
So please, dont go comatose quite yet,
Ive still got secrets to tell.
By the grace that saved us both,
Let me turn on the light and see those eyes.
I tried so long to get accustomed,
But its just something I wont get used to.

"good stuff tim. seems like you are almost beyond being one of the self-absorbed teens infecting this site, and actually have something to say. a bit less angst would help. hope your "songs" sound as good as they read. This poem startles refreshingly. well done. " -- david namerow.
