Inclusion, from your brothers along with delusion, what should have been.

My precious one;
A part of me died that day
your brothers know
what should have been
I could have waited
for the word of hope
before I let go of you.
But life has a way
of making one think
they can solve everything.
The only way
I can go on
is to know it was right.
But who's right?
Yours or mine?
My very being aches for you.
yearns to touch you.
Was I wrong
on not giving it a chance
and making sure
what any Mother would do
to protect her child
and show him unconditional love?
I turned away
to not see the whole thing.
Your little heart
everytime I close my eyes.
Nina loves you
and said when she arrives
she will rock you as she has
her other Grands.
I broke her heart, too.
You see I was once her baby.
For her to know I did this
makes her anguished.
But, she assures me that she understands
it was my right,
and she respects it.
All she asked was one simple thing.
I could have done it all by myself
and we would have been fine.
Instead I listened to reason,
to the morals of why
your Father should know.
I love YOU , Levi.
A part of me died that day.
It was you.

"There are some heartfelt expressions that could really be combined to make a good song, but there needs to be continuity and structure otherwise it becomes too drawn out...but good ideas!" -- Barry Hutchison, Sr., Nashville, Tennessee, US.
"Barry, Thank You for your frank opinion. This is a lovely piano piece that is meant to be articulated in slightly over a whisper, as in a lullaby from a Mother to her Son. " -- pewd.
"Mighty big words, I like your style. Heartfelt, genuine, deep. Kind of out of the box, very original." -- alexx.
"Alexx, advice from a stranger, never live inside the box. Thank You for being so kind. " -- PEWD.
