His feelings, thoughts and emotions are laid bare for us to poke around in and examine and I love some of the phrases and pretty words. My main thought while reading this was of wishing that one day someone might love me the way your character loved his woman, I just hope I don't have to be brutally murdered first! However I do feel that it doesn't really go anywhere and there was a lot of repetition. I think it's way too long for the words to sustain. I got a little bit bored in the middle.
