Don't you ever wonder? I mean, you've read about the Saints, probably written about them, or maybe thought they were completely crazy.
Did you ever think about how much these Saints, especially martyrs, suffered for their faith? This may sound stupid to some people, but I did, and decided to write a fictional journal of a long-time remembered Saint, Agnes, and what she may have gone through. It takes place in the Roman Empire at about 304 AD, during the reign of Diocletion and Mximillian. Read if you want to.
I like hippos and Saints. They are nice. I am a teenage person that lives on Earth. HIPPO LOVES U!!!!

The Agonies Of Agnes- First Entry
Hello little book,
You were given to me by my dear friend and companion, Amara. I don't know how she got the money or time to buy me such a precious gift. I have known her for practically all of my life, and is more like a sister than a slave to me.
To tell you the truth, even if it is the day that I turned the age of twelve, I did not expect to recieve anything. As my mother and father once told me: "Do not expect lavish and materialistic things in this life, in this place of hell. Expect better in heaven, in reward of following the Lord Almighty the whole journey."
So you are the only gift, little book, but you shall become much more than that. I shall record all my experiences and prayers, for I know God knows all and shall read all that I write. You shall become a scared little book, it's blank pages filled with my thoughts of God. It's hard to think about God during these times, with Emperor Diocletian persecuting us Christians, but I shall stay true to Him no matter what. Even if they beat us and kill us all, we'll all fly up to heaven and live in eternal happiness with the Lord.
My first prayer:
You have created and protected me for twelve years, and this is the day that you brought me into this world from my mother's womb. I thank you for this day and all days, and please bless my mother and father and Paulinus and Amara and everyone, even the pagans. Help them find You and follow You, like the Apostles did when you walked on this Earth.
Please help me become more and more like You everyday, even if the price to pay to the pagans is my death. You are my heavenly Spouse, and I shall not believe in any other God but You. Amen.

"I won't pretend I understand what you're getting at in this one. You have given us the first entry in her diary, when it sounds as if things are going okay for her. No "agonies" on the horizon so far. Are you going to continue the series? Just a tiny error: I think "scared" in Paragraph 3 should be "sacred". How about a few more entries so we can get the feel of it?" -- David Gardiner, London, England.
