“Anxious Lindsey”
“See ya, See ya,” said Lindsey. Have a good time, and bring me something back. Go, go, good –bye now and hurry back. Lindsey’s mother was going away on a trip for three days. Lindsey usually went on business trips with her mom, however this one was during the school week, so Lindsey could not go along.
Mrs. Annette, the neighbor next door came to stay with Lindsey for the next three days. Mrs. Annette was Lindsey’s favorite sitter. Lindsey liked Mrs. Annette because she was very nice and patient. Most of the other sitters always yelled and told Lindsey to slooooooooooooooooooow down.
That night around 6 o’clock Lindsey literally swallowed her chicken dinner whole! Then she skedaddled up stairs. Mrs. Annette wen up stairs to check on Lindsey, however Lindsey was already fast asleep. Mrs. Annette was speechless. She shook her head confusion. On the way back down stairs she heard water running in the bathroom, Lindsey had forgotten to turn off the water after brushing her teeth.
In the morning Lindsey said, hurry, hurry, Get up Mrs. Annette I don’t want to be late for school. Mrs. Annette replied, “Lindsey it is only 5:30 a.m. school doesn’t start till 7:30. Please have some cereal and watch cartoons while I get dressed. Be patient now Lindsey. Lindsey replied, “ok, ok.”
Three minutes later Lindsey frantically ran up stairs yelling;" Mrs, Annette, Mrs. Annette. Mrs. Annette nearly fell out of the shower, hurried to put on a robe. Lindesy met her in the hallway, Mrs. Annette, out of breath asked Lidnsey whats wrong? Lindsey replied," I just wanted to know are you ready to go yet?" Mrs. Annette shook her head and said "Lindsey it has only been four minutes since I sent you down stairs to eat breakfast. Please be patient dear. Lindsey replied "ok, ok."
Mrs. Annette went to get dressed and Lindsey went back downstairs to watch cartoons. When Mrs Annette came downstairs she yelled to lindsey "have you seen my keys?" However Lindsey did not reply. Mrs. Annette looked all over the house, then suddenly she heard a horn beep coming from the driveway. It was Lindsey waiting in the car. Mrs. Annette went out to the car, got in, and drove Lindsey to school
In science class Lindsey had a big test. Her teacher Mrs. Tyler told everyone to answer each question carefully and take your time. Lindsey of course had already begun her test the second it landed on her desk. Two minutes later Lindsey ran to Mrs. Tylers desk moving fast enough to put out a fire.
"Mrs. Tyler I am done," said, Lindsey. Mrs. Tyler replied "Lindsey, please take your time and look over your answers, you can't possibly have answered all 42 questions that fast." "I did, I did" Lindsey insisted. Mrs. Tyler replied "Lindsey are you sure" and Lindsey responded " I'm done, I'm done. "Ok," said Mrs, Tyler. At the end of class Mrs. Tyler handed back the graded test to all the students,
Lindsey was very disappointed to see her grade. She only got one question right. Lindsey rushes to Mrs. Tylers desk in a tearful voice and says" But Mrs. Tyler I knew all the answers, how did I get this grade?" Mrs. Tyler replied, because you read through the questions too fast Lindsey, you have to be careful when taking a test."
When the bell rang Lindsey rushed out the school doors and hopped in the car. Mrs. Annette then drove off. Lindsey anxious as always told Mrs. Annette, "drive faster! faster! Lindsey got so loud and animated she almost made Mrs. Annette crash. When they got home Lindsey hopped out the car, and dashed into house.
