Stop Violence Early
My family and I were walking in San Francisco looking at some stores for souvenirs. We walked by a jewelry store and the manager and a customer were arguing on the price of something. The manager yelled "Get out of my store!" The customer called the manager a few names and it broke out into a fight. Someone called the cops and they broke it up. When I first walked by this store I didn't think that it would have ended in violence. Violence has many causes.
There are many reasons for violence. I think that gangs are violent because of sadness, or not having a family. They also try to show that they have power. They are showing their power by having videos of the violence they have done to people. People fight over things that they want.
Unlike gangs, our military fights for what we want. They fight and have fought for freedom. Violence can ruin some people's lives. A lot of people that have fought in war say they are scared for life. They say it is hard to forget what they have seen.
I have seen violence in school too. Violence can happen when two kids are just playing around and messing with each other. Whenever I see people fight, I feel guilty that I didn't stop them. Some people bully other people with violence consistently. Even if they just push the other person, over time it can lead to a fight.
There are a lot of reasons for violence to start. You never know when to expect violence. If you are a witness of violence, or feel that violence might start, don't wait to stop the fight.
