lanky joe was very tall. he had very very long legs. at school he was always last at sports. one saturday afternoon he was watching sports on television at home. the basketball came on. lanky joe had an idea. the next monday he went to school as usual. he found his sports teacher, mister teal. he told him about his idea. "yes i think we can do that joe", said mister teal. friday came. it was the final of the local schools basketball. out came the two teams and out came lanky joe. the game began. lanky joe ran straight to the other team's net and just stood under it. the ball was passed to lanky joe. he simply reached up and popped the ball into the net. everytime the ball was passed to him he simply popped it into the net. lanky joe's school won easily. everybody cheered and clapped lanky joe. he was the hero of the school. everybody loved lanky joe.
